"My 36-year-old heating and air conditioning system, which was original to my home, had been on borrowed time for some while. I researched and got bids from four local companies. I needed a new heat pump and air handler at least, but I also wanted to replace the insulation and duct work since it too was old and I had had some rodent issues in my attic some years ago. Insulation upgrades also qualify for additional SMUD rebates. Not only was Huft's bid the lowest, but my Bosch system is more energy efficient than any of the other systems quoted me and whisper quiet. From the salesman Glenn to the installation lead Tever and the insulation installer Anthony, I was impressed with their level of punctuality, courtesy, and professionalism throughout the process. In fact, Glenn was the only salesman who actually took the time to take measurements at my house and explained the numbers of why I needed a three-ton system. I am very happy with my system thus far and I would highly recommend Huft to others!"

"We have problems with one of the burners on our gas GE cooktop and have decided to purchase an electric model. Both Home Depot and Angi helped us in our search for an electrician. Happily, we found Zack Nelson of Nelson Electric in nearby Vacaville. He promptly arrived, checked our electric panel, cabinets above and under our cooktop, and attic for running new electric wiring from the garage panel to the kitchen. A previous estimate led us to believe this wish to change from gas to electric was more than we wanted to pay. Zack has a "can do" attitude, and his price was much lower. Within days, Zack and his crew member Westley completed the following: replacement of two breakers in our sub panel to make room for the new 40 amp breaker and installed a 40 amp 240 volt circuit to the cabinet under the cooktop. This was done within a couple of hours and they cleaned up completely before they left. We are now ready to purchase and have our new electric cooktop installed. We are totally satisfied and want to share our successful electrician search with all of you. Zach Nelson (707) 474-2884 [email protected] (CA LIC #: 1074873). Through the Inflation Reduction Act there are credits and deductions for changing from gas to electric, including oven ranges, hot water heaters and furnaces. So far, no help in changing out cooktops. Jack and Linda Clark"

"I finally found a great contractor after 2.5 years struggling with a gut and remodel, 1938 house. Reliable. 30 years in the biz. Fair prices. He renovated my shower, kitchen and cabinets. Great with tile. Very perfection oriented. What a relief. Iâ d been through the mill with shister, incompetent and unreliable contractors!!!"

"Gerardo and his crew came cleaned out the entire attic and laid down new insulation. When I walked into the house after they were done It was spotless. Maybe cleaner than when they started but most notably my entire house felt like the air was cleaner. Getting 100 years of old crud and insulation out of there is the most noticeable unseen change to our home. Worth every penny. Thank you Gerardo and thank you Julian"

"B&W responded quickly to my request for shed roof cleaning for insurance purposes. They power washed the roof and sent me photos, which were praised by my insurance representative and forwarded to my insurance company. They also filled an erosion hole next to the shed, and cleaned the roof, gutters, and downspouts of my main house. I would recommend B&W without hesitation."

Qualified, licensed electricians will charge from $50 to $100 per hour. The cost to hire an electrician for emergency visits may range from $100 to $200 per hour because this urgent service usually takes place during off hours and may require an electrician to leave or reschedule jobs they’re currently working on. Scheduling work on holidays or during periods of high customer demand, like after a major storm, will also lead to higher rates or extra fees.
