"Michael and his team were incredibly professional. They remodeled two of our bathrooms, including doubling the square footage in our master suite. Michael stood behind his work and insured. We were fully satisfied with the product. Throughout every stage of the process, he kept a clean and tidy, worksite, and was respectful of our families time and space. We’ve referred Michael to many of our friends because of the great work and professionalism he exuded on the job. We plan on using Michael and his team for our kitchen makeover later this year."

Customers say: Quick response

"If there were a 5-MILLION-STAR option, I would give it to Cal Patton and his team of pros! Patton Construction converted my 400-square-foot garage into a GORGEOUS STUDIO. Cal helped through every stage of the process from vision and design, to electrical and plumbing, to drywall and insulation, to painting and more. His work was tops! He also goes above and beyond ANYTHING you could ever hope for in a contractor. He did a ton of extras at no cost including installing a disability-safe toilet and grab bars for my elderly mother, fixing my stove, getting rid of my dozens of moving-in boxes, installing heaters and a sink, added a lovely cabinet and shelves in my laundry room, and more all free of charge. I interviewed a LOT of professionals before hiring Cal, and I feel like if I'd interviewed thousands of contractors, I would not have found a better one. Count yourself, your property and your family BLESSED & VERY LUCKY if you are in Cal's hands for any project. Thank you so much, Cal and Michael and all of your team for helping to make my dreams come true."

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

You'll find Arts and Crafts homes across the country in varying styles. On the East Coast, bungalows and Tudor Revivals fill the Boston area through New Jersey. In the West, Mission-style homes incorporate terracotta shingles, white stucco siding, and rounded archways.

Most Greek Revival architecture homes are one and a half to two stories, depending on the footprint, which sets them apart from some Federal architecture homes that are three stories. The gabled roof on the second floor can sometimes cut into the living space, especially on smaller homes of this style, which leaves a much smaller living area upstairs.

Above all, the downside to building a new house is a longer timeline. You need several months to finish the build, depending on the supply chain and labor availability in the meantime. Building a home compared to buying one is also more expensive, both in the building process and when it comes to mortgage rates and property taxes.

Villa exterior features often include large windows, arched doorways, patios, terraces, greenery, and gardens. Common exterior colors for villas are whites and off-whites, soft browns, and clay tones.

Builder-grade is one of two types of stock cabinets, whereas semi-custom designs allow homeowners some control over the color, finish, or hardware on their cabinets. Stock cabinets are sold in construction-grade and builder-grade designs. Construction-grade cabinets are usually made from inexpensive medium-density fiberboard, which is prone to moisture damage, whereas builder-grade models are a step up with higher-quality materials. Construction-grade designs are the most common type of cabinets in America.
