"My kitchen floor was in deplorable condition; David and his team turned it into a floor that looks brand new. He did an amazing job! Not only that, they set up so that not a single speck of wood dust escaped the work area - amazing. Their clean-up, too, was great with nothing for me to do, but return the things removed from the area refinished. This was one of the rare instances of a perfect job."

"We hired Amazonia Flooring to replace our old floors with laminate, and the difference is incredible. They helped make the whole project easy and kept us informed throughout the installation. The crew worked efficiently, took great care around our walls and doors, and the finished floor feels solid and looks fantastic. What impressed us most was how organized and dependable they were. Everything was completed as promised with no surprises. We would absolutely hire Amazonia Flooring again for another project."

Flooring Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes. So-called “floating” cork floors can be installed over concrete subfloor, though a polyethylene vapor barrier is required. This type of installation is achieved using the glue-down tiles, which are trickier for a DIY approach, so consider calling a professional to help you if you’re planning to install your cork floor over concrete.

Choosing the right carpet involves assessing room usage, desired comfort levels, durability requirements, and stylistic preferences. Carpet fiber types and density should also be considered during the decision-making process.

Carpet glue is very sticky, but it's not permanent. The glue usually lasts as long as a typical carpet installation, which is five to 15 years. For the best results, you should always use the right type of carpet glue for the area you're using it in. There are carpet glues for high-traffic areas, which are more high-quality and durable than others.

When considering cork flooring pros and cons, you may have toyed with the idea of getting other types of flooring, including hardwood. But how does it compare in price? Your new cork flooring can cost less than hardwood, depending on the wood type you choose. Cork costs about $5 to $19 per square foot, while hardwood costs $6 to $25 per square foot.

For rooms with an even number of feet (10 x 12, for example), you can technically just multiply them together to get the number of square feet in the room (10 feet x 12 feet = 120 sq. ft.). For irregularly shaped rooms or areas that aren’t even square feet, converting to inches will be your best bet for an accurate measurement.
