"It went well.  Tyler was very knowledgeable about various critters' prints he found on my property. He had good suggestions for deterring predators ... but was not helpful in implementing those measures.  No references or anything.  I still have yet to find someone to install the kind of fencing he suggested.

"GoodFellas was quick to call and schedule an appointment for a free quote. Mike showed up on time and was more that willing to work with us on pricing. Their customer service is fantastic. Marissa was great at following up and always willing to help. Although we did not use their services this time, we would definitely call them in the future."

American West Fence and Armor Fence Company have provided quality fences since 1963. Our first office was in Lawndale, California and served all of South Bay and the Los Angeles area until 1973. The relocation occurred to San Juan Capistrano and later to Mission Viejo, where our warehouse and offices are now located. We pride ourselves on our fence construction quality at all levels, and stand behind all the work that we have done for others and would do for you. We have 40 years of all types of residential and commercial fence construction, from very basic to golf courses, driving ranges, baseball back stops and prison work. Animal Fencing FAQs, answered by experts

Animals that dig holes in the yard at night include skunks and raccoons. Both animals are nocturnal, meaning they are most active at night and use that time to hunt or forage. Skunks will dig small holes to find insects, while raccoons use their strong front legs to pull up chunks of sod and search for food underneath.

Like many animals, gophers are bothered by strong scents. Peppermint oil, eucalyptus oil,  and coffee grounds can be used as deterrents against these pests. Similarly, you can try planting lavender, rosemary, sage, geraniums, or pine trees, as these plants all have strong smells that can ward away gophers. While it may be less pleasant to work with, coyote urine scares gophers by tricking the pests into thinking your yard is a predator hot spot.

Raccoons in a chimney sound like thumping, rustling, scratching, or scurrying. Because they can weigh as much as 20 pounds, they make noises that are noticeable and hard to miss. Plus, they have an average litter size of 3 to 7 kits, so you may hear what sounds like multiple animals thumping, rustling, scratching, or scurrying.

Alongside selecting the best bait for an iguana trap, the location, position, and timing play a part. If the lizards have a burrow in your yard or regularly take the same route, place the trap there during the day. Iguanas are diurnal and most active during the day. A shady spot is best to keep the animal comfortable. And don’t forget to pick a level surface or stabilize the trap with a brick—iguanas are less likely to enter if it’s wobbly.

You’ll find groundhogs are most active during the morning hours and late afternoon, but they want to avoid humans at all costs. If you do set a trap, you can set it out the night before so it’s waiting on them the next morning, and try to remove any human scent when setting it out.
