"Tito and his crew were wonderful! They really listened to my vision and worked with that when making the design for my yard. They also built lovely wood structures to really create an oasis in my yard. (Trellises for vines, raised garden beds, short fences to block the view of my AC unit). I am so very pleased with the end project!"

Fountains questions, answered by experts

Smaller, pondless water features like bird baths, self-contained fountains, and bubbling rocks are much lower maintenance than their counterparts that include ponds. Pondless features help you avoid high pond maintenance costs and allow you to spend more time enjoying the water feature and less time on upkeep.

In addition to length and width, pond liners also come in various thickness levels. Thickness is measured in mils, a unit of measurement equal to one-thousandth of an inch, with most pond liners ranging from 15 to 60 mils in thickness. The smaller the number, the thinner (and weaker) the liner. To prevent rips and tears, it’s best to choose a pond liner that’s at least 30 mils thick.

One reason you may want to fill in your pond is the cost of maintenance. Pond cleaning may cost about $1,000 for an annual cleanup, or monthly visits may cost $75 to $100 per visit. If you don’t want to spend that much per year on pond upkeep, you may consider filling in your pond.

Regular water testing, debris removal, and seasonal maintenance ensure healthy water quality.

DIY kits exist, but professional installation ensures proper filtration, landscaping, and leak-proof construction.
