I considered purchasing a vent cleaning kit from a local hardware store but didn't feel that was the right approach. I knew there had to be at least 2 elbows in the vent line within my walls and was concerned with the kit becoming stuck & ending up with a worse problem. After "Googling" and "Angie Listing" the first person I called was James. He offered to come by the next morning to analyze the situation. Next day James and Alex arrived. Both were very courteous, and I could tell right away service oriented. Not only did they clean the wet lent that had accumulated in my vent lines, they made a point of letting the lines dry out first before running a final airflow test. This involved them having to return later in the day in order to give the lines time to dry. I am convinced I made the right decision by hiring an expert for this particular situation. I also have the peace of mind in knowing that my home was made safer by having this service performed on the dryer vent lines which is a leading cause of house fires
- Dryer Vent WizardJames called before showing up which was good since he wanted to know if he could come early. The answer was yes and he and his assistant showed up within the next half hour. He inspected the connection from the dryer to the wall and found it to be of the wrong kind. I verified in the dryer owners manual and on the internet that he was correct. He gave suggestions as to how I can keep the dryer more lint free then proceeded to clean the vent. He suggested a flapper on the outside of the vent but we decided to not have that done. James didn't argue about the need or that we we didn't want the flapper and proceeded with the job. He came to us to make sure that our air conditioner was off because he was going to cover it to prevent lint from getting into it. The entire process was performed with the utmost professionalism

My home is about 6 years old and from what I understand from James, the ventilation system should be cleaned every three years or so. He climbed the roof to inspect things and with an anemometer determined the wind speed of the ventilation system. His verdict: Things were looking really good and he didn't see a need to clean the duct-work at this time. Bottom line, it's nice to work with honest professionals! He could have recommended cleaning nonetheless but this man has integrity, and instead, gave me a few things to look for to ensure I continue to have good airflow and increase my level of fire safety. I'll definitely have my vent cleaned this year just for good measure. I highly recommend Dryer Vent Wizard and look forward to working with them down the road

"We needed to replace our old 20+ year HVAC system before it quit working which probably would have been in the summer when HVAC companies are the busiest. so I decided to do it winter 2021. Did my due diligence and had three companies come out, present their bids and recommended equipment. Most of the companies were in line with their bids and no one underbid their competitors. "After 24 years our heating/air unit was on it's last legs. We called Aire Serv for an estimate to replace the system. I was impressed with the detailed plan they presented on how to make our new system more efficient and improve air flow into our home. A thorough inspection was done to the house checking registers, thermostat, and overall efficiency. After the inspection, they gave us a detailed bid on what they felt would be the most efficient system to help us lower our heating/air costs moving forward. I called 2 other local companies and couldn't believe the lack of effort or knowledge of HVAC systems. Both bidders basically gave me a price to replace the unit with an updated version of the same one we currently had. They spent about 10 minutes looking at the unit and gave pricing for a replacement. No inspection of thermostat, ducting or any questions about efficiency.
