Love these folks!!!!! Professional, dedicated, perfectionists, Tom Smith Tile Co. went above and beyond what we expected. I called the company and Tom came to our house the following day, not only did we get the estimate but he gave us suggestions and ideas that we hadn't thought of. Tom spent 2 hours going over our plans and ideas and was most helpful Tom's partner Amy went with us to Sacramento to look at tile and granite, it helped that she has an interior design background as we were overwhelmed by all the choices and Amy helped us narrow them down. We spent the entire day looking and with her help found what we wanted. Tom, Amy and crew were on time every morning and took only 30 minutes for lunch each day, all of them have a great sense of humor and were fun to work with Our costs came in lower then our estimate and the job was completed before the due date which is unheard of these days. Would highly recommend Tom Smith Tile Co

Customer service was excellent. I dealt with Robert Weis and he really was instrumental in getting me the help I needed and steered me in the right direction. He actually got me 3 bids from 3 local fabrication companies, then handed me the estimates and told me to go interview. I was someone who was lost in the entire process and he was great. He's easy going and will sit with you as long as it takes to get all your questions answered, with no pressure. I would recommend Design Time and if you have a choice, go with Robert Weis for help. I will go back when i have enough money saved for my carpeting. Thanks Robert
When Chris came over to give us a bid he was very knowledgable and professional. He got back to me the very next day with his bid and we were happy with the price. After agreeing to use Nor-Cal chris recommended some granite suppliers in town and in Sacramento. We went to Sacramento on a Saturday and found some slabs we really liked. While we were there I called Chris and he was more than happy to talk to the supplier and make sure the slabs we picked would work for our project. We only had to pay Nor-Cal's price for the slabs and for $100 they shipped them right up to their shop. After Chris came over and made the templates of our cabinets he had us come to the shop so we could place them exactly where we wanted on the slabs so we could choose our focal point. The countertops took a few days to fabricate. The day they came to install them the whole crew showed up to help with the lifting and then left just two guys to finish the installation. Everyone involved did a great job. There is one joint near the sink and now I know why they take such pride in their work, the joint is invisible and the job turned out perfect. This is a family business and Chris or his brother were available at any time for questions or concerns. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the whole experience. I would recommend this company to anyone

  • Design Time & Tile
We went to Design Time to purchase carpet for our bedrooms, tile for our bathrooms and engineered hardwood flooring for the rest of our house. The entire process was easy and problem free. Our sales guy Bruce was very knowledgeable about flooring products and helped us to find the perfect engineered hardwood and carpet for our house. He met our budget and exceeded our expectations; I thought I might have to compromise on the look I wanted to get a good price, but Bruce worked with us and found the products I wanted at the price that fit our budget. The delivery time was as expected, and all of the installers were very professional and timely. I was worried that having different types of flooring going in would cause conflicts and therefore problems, but the Design Time team was on top of their game and the install went seamlessly. Their sales staff is very experienced and communicated with us effectively. We were doing other remodel work at the same time, and although Design Time did not provide some of the other services, they knew exactly who to refer us to. I felt confident that everybody involved was going to do a great job, and all my expectations were exceeded. Great job Design Time

It was okay. They sent two young guys out. One evidently was just in training. So they did slop a little sealer on the woodwork and didn't wipe it up. When I tried to wipe it up, it had hardened up and took the paint off the cabinet. I wasn't too pleased with that. One of the seams on one side is not even. I did talk to them at the fair in November or December. They said they could come out and fix that. I just haven't made an appointment for them to do so. I am very pleased with the product. I have gotten quite a few compliments from people that have been in the house and seen it. It's odd pieces of granite that they grind up and mix them with polymer. It's not as expensive as if you went to do straight granite. Plus, it can go over your old countertop. They now do complete bathroom renovations, too. I would tell other people to just watch and pay attention to what the workers are doing. The finished product was pretty good. The price was okay. I had them out about two years prior to give me an estimate but I didn't go ahead with it at that point in time. When I did go through with it, I was thinking that they probably had reduced the prices because the economy was so bad. They went through with the one from two years prior to that. It definitely was cheaper than to go for full granite

  • Counter Fit
They screwed up big time. First my sink was to be under mounted. The guy cut the hole to big for the sink. I even handed him the template he tossed it to the side. Then they never sealed the countertops. Now around the sink the granite is turn black. Mind you that I purchased these back in june 2020 they installed them in august. Been calling them since . Finally now October of 2020 I got an email saying that they were coming out monday the 12 of October. Let's see

I was so pleased with the workmaship! Even the sales rep was fantastic, even though there was some difficulty in deciding what route to go with. They advertise no demolition, and they actually come in and make a template of your dimensions and space. They then come back and bring a custom-made granite counter top that fits perfectly over the counter. It only took a couple hours, and it was just a wonderful experience. I inquired about after care, and they said it was covered by lifetime guarantee. I was happy for one year. Then I started noticing rough patches. I started looking at it close and I decided to contact them back. Upon their return, they said "Oh, you're just looking for problems." I assured them I'm not. It's now starting to pit in places. I even have a friend who has the same type of counter top who confirmed she had the same issues. They've been out several times to try and fix it, to no avail. Apparently the product itself is defective. They have offered me the option to put yet another counter top over the defective counter. I'm concerned about the foundation under the fixture. He then started offering deals for installing a new shower, or he can give me some sort of a refund. I still have no resolution and I'm not sure what I should do. They have come out several times and just can't get it right. Even after spotting them at a home show, and calling them out for failing to come out and get it done, they still have fed me nothing but lies. They just keep telling me that they "Want to make it right.

It went terribly. Very poor customer relations, very poor (non existent) customer service. I was hung out to dry. Design Time needed to have the granite refinished or replaced. Instead, they just dismissed my concerns.
