"Amazingly well, infinity construction took on the challenge of building our custom home over the footprint of a residence totally destroyed by fire. The general contractors attention to detail, quality and sticking to build schedules went far beyond what we expected. "I’m going to make this short and to the point. Upon meeting the the owner he appeared to be honest and attentive to our customer requests. This many bad reviews doesn’t happen on accident! It all went bad when the work began and we realized the owner had not listened or taken notes on any of the requests we made- flooring facing the wrong way, the wrong baseboards, baseboards unfinished - nail holes only filled after a phone call and no touch up paint even though owner promised they would. Call someone else. Get a second opinion. There are so many other companies and individuals that want your business and are honest, respectful and are great at their trade!"

Yes, your shower pan goes underneath your tiling and helps prevent excess water from seeping into the floor. Without the shower pan under your tile, water will seep through the grout and into the flooring. This will eventually lead to mold growth and serious water damage that could cost thousands of dollars to fix.

Generally speaking, it is better to cut tile wet when using a fast-moving wet saw to reduce dust and chipping. However, tile can be cut dry when using just about any cutting tool. Dry cutting will result in a bigger mess and may increase the risk of chipping or cracking, but if you’re just making small cuts, dry cutting is a safe and viable option. Cutting dry also means you can apply tile grout sooner, so it’s better for rushed projects.

Stone can last anywhere from 15 to 100 years before it needs to be restored. You should clean your stone flooring or countertops regularly using cleaners designed for stone surfaces. Stay on top of vacuuming to prevent scratches from deteriorating stone faster, deep clean your stone surfaces using a pH-neutral cleaning solution at least once a year, and reseal the stone every one to five years, depending on foot traffic or usage.

Figure out how much tile you need by measuring the backsplash area. Measure the height and length in feet and multiply to get the square footage. Don’t make adjustments for outlets or small cutouts but subtract the square footage for windows or other large obstructions from the total. To account for waste, get 10% more than your calculation.

Tiles last for around 100 years or more. Tiles on backsplashes can last even longer since they’re less likely to crack under foot traffic or from accidental drops, but even tile in high-traffic flooring can last a century or more with proper installation and upkeep. Porcelain tiles are denser and stronger than standard ceramic tiles, so they’ll last longer, often pushing past the 100-year mark.
