"David and his assistant fixed 3 holes in a second story deck then applied a metal lath and troweled on a layer of deckcretethe first day. 2nd day applied a fiberglass mat and saturated with laminating resins. David then shot a layer of knockdown texture to the deck and finally applied a resin sealer finish coat over the deck. The deck need 24 hours drying and 3 day wait before placing items on the deck. The whole project went nicely and the new deck looks great and should need a sealing in 5 years."

"I am so very pleased with the work that Thomas Parks and his crew accomplished on my home/decks/roofs and gazebo. It took three weeks but he was very thorough. The first day was powerwashing the house. One day to dry and then each day thereafter there was a crew of five. The preparation work was extremely tedious. They used hand powersanders to cover almost every inch to even out cracks and layers of old paint. It was no easy job. In some spots it is three levels.....up and down ladders; and it just happened to be very hot weather. After completing Thomas asked me to write a list of things that might need touch up. Again, I was impressed. As we walked around the house/decks/gazebo together he spotted some small things that I did not see. That is to say, he is very honest and trustworthy. "Goodfellas Construction has been spectacular on my bathroom renovation. Built in 1940, the two bedroom one bath house had never had a major renovation. Usually just maintenance to solve what was required to fix an immediate problem. The bathroom was the obvious choice for a renovation starting point - the small shower stall (like a closet with water), cast iron tub, linoleum floor, old pipes and inadequate lighting were really depressing. After asking friends and neighbors and driving by construction sites, I found GOODFELLAS and called to set up a meeting. Danny Gold came to the house, and we talked about what I wanted in the renovation. Based on our discussion, he wrote up a fair estimate and specified the things I would be responsible for providing and the things that Goodfellas would provide. This approach allows the homeowner to personalize the project - you get to select the materials for flooring, vanity, plumbing fixtures, etc. so you have control of what the finshed project will look like. Danny Gold remained the focal point of the construction management effort. He was always available for questions or guidance throughout the project. He is personable and knowledgeable and is always aware of how his subcontractors are progressing. Goodfellas started in the bathroom, but as I could see the resullts of their work, the scope of the project enlarged - Re-pipe, Drain line upgrade, Electrical upgrade, Forced Air furnace replacement and painting. Goodfellas brought in their specialty subcontractors and never failed to please. The subcontractors were always on time, and ready to work for as long as it took to finish. Considering the extent of the work being done, the level of inconvenience for me was always a priority. Contractors left the job as clean as possible, and kept me in the loop as to what was going to happen next and when they would be finished with each subsequent phase. Goodfellas worked well with the City of Glendale permitting department, Department of Water and Power and the individual inspectors that certified the work. At each inspection, a Goodfellas representative and the subcontractor were available to answer any question or concern that arose. I like Goodfellas so much I’m going for the kitchen remodel next week."

"There were 2 teams that came to the door, one for the deck and the other for the paver project, I explained the details and even showed them a somewhat blueprint of my dream deck and these guys were on point! ... The pavers were finished quick and my old deck was demolished, the wood was in pretty bad shape. The guys built it and refinished it with the waterproof stain I had chosen. I was amazed at their hard work. Maybe once or twice they ran late by coming in 15/20 min  late,  but they did a great job overall.
The pavers had a combo of cobble stone and river stone which led to the grassy area."

"I bought the Big Deal which was just for a single top coat to reseal the deck surface.  However, my deck was in a little bit worse shape than the deal allowed.  However, Ryan was awesome and added in sanding and then did the reseal for no additional charge.  The surface is not perfect but that is due to the rough pre-condition it was in and not his fault.  Shortly after the reseal the deck drains started leaking in to the garage below.  Ryan and crew came out again to fix the drain at no additional cost.  Again, this was not in the deal I bought but they provide such great customer service.  I would definitely use them again and will recommend them to friends and neighbors!
