"We needed to quickly and reasonably get the inside of our house ready so we could list the house for sale. We had several people come over to provide estimates for the job. Mike at Interesting coatings was our last estimate. It was readily apparent that this was a no nonsense, straightforward kind of guy. We accepted his estimate and had the work begin immediately. I must say my wife and I are very pleased with the outcome. The old stained and cracked walls now look new. The entire house is now refreshed. The entire experience was a very pleasant one. I highly recommend Interstate Coatings."
"Working with Jay was a wonderful experience from start to finish! I first contacted Jays Painting Service back in May (along with 3 other painting service providers) to receive quotes. Jay was very knowledgeable and reasonably priced and I ultimately decided to hire his company for the job. I contacted Jay to let him know that I wanted to hire them, but had other repairs that needed to be done first, so it would be a few weeks before I could actually schedule it. Jay said that that wasn't a problem and to contact him when I was ready. I was finally able to contact him about a month later and we scheduled the job for mid-July. Jay came out personally the Saturday before the painting was to begin and met with me regarding color choices and final instructions, then his crew arrived to pressure wash the entire house - a major improvement already! The following Thursday, Jay and his crew arrived bright and early and got to work right away prepping to primer and paint. The entire job, including the deck, took only 2 days and I couldn't be happier with the results - the house looks amazing! Jay and his crew took the time and care to make sure that their work is not sloppy - even color changes on corners and textured stucco are flawless! They also went above and beyond and put up the new light fixtures and door hardware I'd purchased ahead of time so that I didn't have to go back out and change them later, and they even secured some of the boards in the deck that had begun to come up before they began painting. Jay and his crew are definitely professionals and I would definitely hire them again and will recommend them to anyone local who requires painting services! Thanks Jay and Crew!"
"Josh and his crew did a great job. Appreciated them always being on time and following through on what they promised to do (and more). Little apprehensive about the stain color of deck, but after Josh's reassurance that it will look better after some time and now that I gotten used to it, just love it!"
"D.K. Painting was great to work with, totally honored their quote, and did a beautiful job on our deck and gazebo. The employees were all friendly and responsive to my concerns and questions. They have also painted a room and done an excellent job. We will definitely hire them again!"
"The Brandon Paint Co crew were very professional and efficient. Our house was power washed, stained, and the trim painted in under a week with a beautiful result. Communications on site were friendly, open and timely. Setting up the job occurred before the winter and communications were excellent (from interactions to get an estimate, through documenting the contract, and then keeping us informed on planning/scheduling implementation)."
"Outstanding. Project was 2 story exterior painting, and deck with some wood work, and staining. Pretty big project. Excellent outcome, everything looks great. The prep work and painting were meticulous. Damian and team were efficient and effective. Price was very fair. Definitely would recommend"

"Eddy got the job done over several days. It was a big job to re-stain front door and panels and molding inside and out. Also re-stain patio door inside. The front door had older-style hardware. We could not find a replacement hardware set so Eddy refinished and painted the old set. It turned out beautiful! Eddy also painted my very high window wells in the family room. beautiful. Eddy and his helper, Claudia, are very nice people, professional and pleasant to work with. I will hire Genesis painting the next time I need work done. Their work is first class."

It’s a good idea to sand your porch before painting. This will remove loose or chipped paint and debris, and give you a cleaner surface so that your new paint goes on smoothly. But if the existing surface is in good condition, it’s not necessary to sand your porch before you paint.
Two coats of stain are ideal for the best protection and aesthetic appeal. However, if your decking is made of particularly dense hardwood, you may only need one coat. If you want an intense color, two coats are ideal.
You have a couple of options when choosing a durable pool deck coating. Epoxy is common and offers excellent stain and water resistance. Epoxy also withstands high temperatures and UV lighting, making it ideal for sunny spots. You can also add a coating to cement, which significantly lowers the temperature of the concrete, is environmentally safe, and makes cleanup a breeze.
It is definitely worth sanding a deck to ensure the wood absorbs new stain. Sanding a deck removes the outer layers of aging wood, allowing the stain to penetrate. It also gives a fresh look to the entire surface as part of the deck refinishing process. Without sanding, your stain or sealant is less likely to absorb into the wood. While sanding a deck is a time-intensive project, the rewards are noticeable and long-lasting.
Avoid using cleaning products that are abrasive or contain bleach or acidic components on composite decking to avoid discoloration. Early-generation Trex decking isn’t designed to handle pressure washer cleaning—and if you use them on second-generation boards, always use a low setting to avoid the risk of damage that can risk voiding your warranty.
