"Garafano Electric has being taking care of all the electrical needs and upgrades in our 90 plus year old house for a few years now. They always do A+ work. We're currently in the middle of some home renovations and they've been willing and able to work with our erratic schedule. Honest, dependable, and great at what they do. Can't recommend them high enough!"

"I called several electrical companies and their timeframe was about a week out I found JLP electrical services did same-day service. They were able to help me with my installation of a attic fan. These hot days definitely needed to cool my house down and he was able to finish the project in a promptly time manner. Highly recommend JLP electrical services. ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️"

"As other reviews have stated the office staff is not responsive. I called on February 1st and was told the estimator was not available and I would receive a return call. I waited 8 days without a call so I called again. The receptionist "Candice" was able to find my information but did not offer any explanation as to why nobody called. She said that they could have somebody out this afternoon and that it would be $185 for 2 hours of troubleshooting and any repair so I agreed. I mentioned Angie's List and the coupon on the page that was for electrical - $20 off service of $150 or more. She told me it was an old coupon for solar. I explained it said electrical then she said it was expired so I told her there was no date on it. Finally she said they were not part of Angie's List anymore and that they would not honor the coupon. Kylar and Keith were the 2 technicians who came. Kylar called ahead and told me when they expected to be here. They were punctual and friendly. They determined that it was not the breaker but that there was a short in one of the wires leading to the breaker. Unfortunately they were not able to determine where the wire ran so they just disconnected the wire that was causing the breaker to trip. (In their defense I had not been able to find any plugs or switches that were not working since the breaker had tripped). They handled the other issue quickly as well. I was happy Keith and Kylar but disappointed in the poor response from the office staff and the refusal to honor the coupon."

"These guys are great! Offered great advice that saved me money. Evan and Aaron were both personable, professional, and trustworthy. Having the number of a trustworthy Electrician really gives you peace of mind. If you electrical needs, or just questions call these folks. I called several other companies and got the usual overpriced quotes and salesmanship. These guys tell it straight. Definitely recommend with high marks."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

When reviewing quotes in Redlands, be wary of contractors who avoid providing written estimates, pressure you for fast decisions, or insist on cash-only payments. If they don’t mention necessary permits or seem unfamiliar with local historic districts or HOA guidelines, that’s a concern. Reliable professionals should offer Redlands-specific references and show experience with unique needs like pool wiring or older home systems.

Helpful?

Completing electrical projects in Redlands delivers immediate safety improvements, better outlet access, and reliable pool or spa operation—important for local lifestyles. Over time, you’ll see increased home value, lower energy bills, and improved insurance options. Upgrades help your system handle CA’s heat, support solar installations, and boost resilience against wildfires and earthquakes, making your home safer and more efficient for years ahead.

Helpful?

Homes in Redlands with pre-1960s wiring, adobe or thick stucco walls, or hillside foundations often pose extra electrical challenges. Open floor plans, multi-level layouts, or detached garages can complicate circuit routing and access points. Extreme summer heat can make attic work difficult, and homes in historic neighborhoods may require extra care to preserve original features and secure special permits for electrical upgrades.

Helpful?

In Redlands, safely tackling minor electrical tasks starts by switching off power at the breaker and confirming with a non-contact voltage tester. You can replace outlet or switch plates, change light bulbs, test GFCI outlets, reset circuit breakers, and swap smoke detector batteries. Always check for signs of rodent activity in attics or garages, and avoid any work involving water or unfamiliar wiring—call a local expert for those.

Helpful?

For electrical upkeep in Redlands, keep a non-contact voltage tester, GFCI outlet tester, digital multimeter, insulated screwdrivers, and wire strippers handy. Stock UV-resistant wire nuts, weatherproof outlet covers, and rodent-resistant wire sleeves for outdoor or attic work. Have spare GFCI outlets, switches, smoke detector batteries, and LED bulbs available, plus flashlights, outdoor extension cords, and electrical tape for emergencies.
