Crystal Pools went beyond my expectations. They did. and are continuing to do, more than just re-plaster the pool. When Bryan came out to to do the original estimate he not only measured the pool but also inspected the pool equipment to be sure that it was operational. The work crew that showed up to do the job waas fast and professional. After they were finished they did a complete cleanup. The backyard was cleaner than when they arrived. The day after the job was finished a gentleman from Crystal(Rob? I am not sure of his name, only heard it once) came by and brush vacuumed the pool. After he was finished he helped me clean and reassemble the pool filter.
From start to finish the people at Crystal Pools have gone beyond expectations. I would recommend them to anyone."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ca/thousand-palms/crystal-blue-pools-and-patios-reviews-9079308.htm"},"position":8},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Repipe 1","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"CA","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Mark E."},"reviewBody":"The communication is better before they have the signed contract. After, not so good. They were an hour and a half late to start the job. The foreman stated the traffic was bad on Hiway 50, the same Hiway I drove on to get to the house. I allowed an hour and a half to get to the house, (it is a rental), and I was there before the promised start time, making my day about 14 hours overall by the time I got home at the end of the day. Their communication on how the job would go could be much better, and the explanation of how it would go was seriously lacking. They said it would be done in one day. Yes, the water was turned back on at the end of the day, but there were numerous holes in the drywall that needed to be patched, and the County inspector needed to come out and inspect the job. They seemed to have trouble with the inspector, and basically relied on my wife and I and the renter to schedule the inspections. It was a pain. Also, getting them back to do the patchwork took longer than I would have liked. (One Week). I haven't seen the finished product, but the renter said it is going to need some additional painting because it doesn't match. (how do you mess up basic white with no tinting?) Anyway, I'm pretty good with texture and drywall, so when I get time to go down there, if it still needs work, I'll just do it myself. Overall, they were okay and I would probably use them again, and I did recommend them to my boss, who also has some rentals that need work. So far, there are no leaks, and the renter is happy with the normal water pressure at the shower, which was really poor due to restricted steel pipes from the original builder in 1968. I called several plumbing companies and most of them did not want to do the job. The ones that were interested only wanted to give a range estimate over the phone based on my description of the work. The estimates were lower, but not firm, so I passed. Repipe 1 gave a firm estimate and stuck to it, which is something I think most consumers are concerned about. They seem to be very experienced with this type of work (complete re-piping of a house) and were able to work around issues with the house's construction, like limited access in the attic. The plumbing needed to be re-routed because of access issues in the attic and the house being on a slab, with some of the original pipes going through or under the concrete. There were also problems in the kitchen due to new cabinets, but they were able to make it work. So again, overall, I think there were less issues to deal with than I would have had if I hired someone who did not specialize in this type of work, and if they fixed their communication issues, I would give them better ratings, although for me, I've been very generous.

He then went over the paperwork involved and when talking about costs made it sound like they would set up the payment arrangements and take care of the financing. At no point was it clearly stated that I would need to set up third party financing. The roof was done over a two week period and the work crew was wonderful. The tear off crew did not leave a mess around the house, nor did the crew that put the new roof on. They put new vents into the garage roof that face the way the worst storms approach my house and have set up the real possibility that they will leak all winter. When I asked about them I was told they would be fixed if needed and someone came out while I was at work and closed the vents (they are clam shell like) so now they serve no purpose at all. What happens when summer comes is still a question. After I did not hear from them the next month to start making payments I contacted them and they were very difficult to deal with. The girls at the office don't seem to know what each other do and often pass the buck and they basically pulled a bait and switch on the financing. I finally had to cash in a retirement account to pay for the job. Anyone interested in using this company should read the fine-fine print very carefully."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ca/shingle-springs/straight-line-construction-reviews-265236.htm"},"position":10}]}

We live in the Joshua Tree area and had a Kohler generator installed in 2021. Unfortunately, by 2025, it had failed. A local electrical contractor inspected it but couldn’t repair the issue, so we turned to the expert—Pete Poillon. I’m incredibly glad we did.
Pete promptly diagnosed the...
I would totally recommend this company Rick new exactly what he was doing, he took his time explained to us all the issues with the home and even sent us the inspection breakdown the same night! Will be issuing coles inspections again in the near future on my next home purchase.

Terry was astounding at assisting me with this purchase. I had some specific wants from my new home, and she carefully steered me towards homes that met my criteria. Occasionally she probed to see what my limits were, and then she respectfully revised her searches for me. After a couple...

Most homeowner policies don’t cover damage to the actual French drains themselves. However, some insurance policies do cover flood damage. In the event that your current system fails and your French drains need to be fixed, you could be covered for any damages incurred. Check your insurance policy to see how they pay out for water damage if a drain system fails.
If you hire a dedicated asbestos inspector near you in addition to your local home inspector, it will cost between $200 and $800. If, however, your general home inspector happens to be certified as an asbestos inspector, they can charge you a smaller fee and tack on the cost to the home inspection. In general, home inspectors do not do physical testing, but will provide a visual assessment so you know what you are working with.
You can test your ductwork by hiring a technician to attach a vacuum to the ductwork near the HVAC unit and put the vent system under pressure. Your pro can use a duct leak tester to measure the amount of pressure that's escaping.
You can also do a DIY test using an incense stick or smoke pencil. With the HVAC system running, pass the stick or pencil across the ductwork. Pay attention to the movement of the smoke. When you notice it changing, it could be a sign there’s a leak or bad connection in the duct.
Evacuate immediately and call professionals for emergency inspection and repairs.
In most cases, inspection costs are not included in closing costs. The inspection is usually a standalone expense the buyer or seller covers by choice. Closing costs are normally required and designed to cover other costs, such as appraisal fees, title search fees, and attorney fees.
