"Job started on a Friday and extended into Monday due to difficulty of digging fence posts in rocky terrain. In addition, the gate ordered for the front was the wrong color. Later in the day, a new gate was fabricated and delivered but it was the wrong size. Unfortunately the job was not completed until Monday which meant we had no gate to secure our property over the weekend. Our job supervisor and his entire team were kind and professional. Would recommend even though there were some disappointing issues. No contractor is perfect every day."

"It was fair. It wasn't something thorough or something horrible. It was just okay. The man smoked on my property and i am not a smoker and thats the reason i am telling you it was something fair. They did a good job but it could have been a little faster but it was slower. It was an older gentleman and a helper. I did spend more than the deal. I spent an additional 75 dollars for more labour. They responded fast."

Double gates come with the same gaps as single gates, with hinges taking up a quarter of an inch of space. The difference is that double fence gates also have a center gap, which needs a little more clearance. For a backyard garden gate where public access isn't a concern, the direction it swings is largely a matter of personal preference. Finally, always check your local building codes, as they may have specific requirements for which way a gate must swing.

While spring gates close gently but firmly, they’re not a foolproof solution for securing your yard to prevent pets or kids from escaping or unwanted guests from entering. Installing a gate latch that is sturdy and lockable with a self-closing mechanism is more effective, especially when used alongside other methods for keeping your home safe, such as cameras or motion detectors.

Each has its use, depending on the scenario. Security doors are primarily intended to keep people out of the home, while storm doors are used to protect the home from extreme weather. Both tend to be made from heavy-duty metal and may include glass panels to allow light to enter the home. Storm doors can feature mesh screens, just like screen doors, to allow for increased ventilation and to keep out pests. Security doors rarely, if ever, have mesh screens.

A gate shouldn’t be higher or lower than the fence it's attached to. If the gate is lower than the fence, it encourages strangers to peek at your property. If the gate is higher than the fence, it just looks weird. Gates allow for increased security and aesthetics, so ensure the gate rests at the same height as the fence.
