"This Big Deal for 2 hours of plumbing work was an unfortunate purchase.  Over the phone, I had requested that the gentleman replace a toilet & investigate 2 leaking sinks.  I was out of town at the time & came home to find our nice new toilet happily in place but also leaking significantly, with a very large pool of water on the floor.  My husband told me that as soon as the toilet was installed, the plumber had packed up his tools & walked out without letting my husband know that he was leaving.  As we still had lots of time left on our 2-hour purchase, my husband had thought the plumber would be coming back inside to discuss the sinks but the gentleman never came back.  I called Duncan Plumbing upon my return home the next day - the plumber was willing to come back to fix the leaking toilet fitting but told me that he did not recall our discussion about the sinks, saying "I can't remember everything".  To his credit, when the plumber did return the next day to repair the fitting, he did ask my husband if there were other tasks, but by that point my husband & I had already decided that we did not want this particular plumber doing any further work in our house.  Based on this experience, we do not recommend Duncan Plumbing.

"A tenant mentioned sound from the shower valve in their unit. My husband checked and it was 'water hammer' a problem that can cause damage to pipes. Masterserve had repiped in 2001. They came out and quickly replaced the two shower valves - it was Tuesday afternoon. On Saturday our tenant in the unit directly below the work let me know water was dripping from her ceiling. I checked the space between the units and could see water coming from the replaced shower valve. I immediately contacted Masterserv.  Their emergency plumber said he couldn't help because the valves may need parts but he would let the office know on Monday. We turned off the water to the building - god bless our tenants cuz they understood. Masterserv arrived early Monday to check and the shower valve simply needed tightening.  As frustrating as it was, at least Masterserv stands behind their work."
