Customers say: True professional

"Cristian and his team did an amazing job. They were fast, kept to their schedule and clean up when they were finished. As we walk around our neighborhood and see others with pavers and artificial grass, Cristian’s team has probably done one of the best work in the neighborhood. On top of that, Cristian honored his pricing and kept to his estimate. We would definitely hire again."

"Rebaza did a terrific job of removing a huge number of bushes that had grown much too high over the past 30 years. The oleander plants especially were a fire hazard. It took Rebaza about three eight-hour days to do the work of heavy pruning and cutting and then dragging everything out to their trailer. Excellent and professional work."

"I am very pleased with my overall experience. Fausto was easy to work with and responded to my emails in a timely fashion. He was extremely professional and the fence is beautifully built. I have been taken advantage of more times than Iâ d like to admit so I was apprehensive to hire someone without a recommendation. After my experience with this company, I would highly recommend them. I have even hired them to help me with future projects."

"Octavio and his team of workers have come to my property several times to put in trees, bushes, pavers, sprinkler systems, and synthetic turf. All their work has been done quickly and professionally. They demonstrate a positive "can do" attitude and they clearly are good at what they do."

"They were great! They trimmed my giant 40 foot tall trees, and also trimmed a large 20 foot tall tree. The owner is a licensed arborist, and everything looks great! They cleaned up well, didn't leave wood chips or anything for me to deal with. Fantastic experience! I have hired other tree companies before, but these guys were incredible They actually do all sorts of landscaping, and I have them coming back to install artificial grass. I would definitely recommend them. Showed up on time, did what they said they would do. The communication and follow through are second-to-none. It was really refreshing to see how well each person on the job was communicating with each other. There was no confusion, and because of that everything went seamlessly."

"I cannot recommend more highly. Albert (rep and project manager) was 100% accessible, knowledgeable, and helpful, Pedro (on site manager) was wonderful, entire on site crew was efficient, clean and quiet, office staff was also great. We had to change our install date due to weather and till got done within a few weeks. The price beat everyone else, especially since we booked in the off season. And best of all, the lawn looks amazing! We love the result! A+++"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Whether you grind or dig up and remove your tree stump depends on your landscaping goals. Using a stump grinder leaves the root system in place for it to decompose over time, whereas digging up the tree stump removes the roots and the stump. Overall, stump grinding is a far simpler process since you won’t need to deal with the roots. Stump removal will make your yard look like a demolition site, but you’ll have an easier time replanting in the same place as your former tree.

You should prune ornamental trees once every other year after the fruit has matured and begun to drop. You should also prune out dead branches whenever you see them. Pruning too often can stimulate more growth, especially in faster growing varieties like Bradford pears.

Trees don’t usually grow back after being cut down. Some particularly robust tree species may start sending up new stems from a stump to recover, but those stems won’t become a “tree” like before. Generally, trees don’t recover from being entirely cut down, which is why it’s important to be careful when making a decision. When you cut down a tree, it’s a good idea to make plans to remove the stump, even if it’s unlikely to grow back.

Tree roots are hearty and complex systems, so they don’t die immediately after the rest of the tree is removed. If you leave the root system in place, it takes anywhere from two to seven years for it to run out of nutrients. It is worth noting, however, that the roots stop growing and expanding after cutting down the rest of the tree.

Consumers typically do not need to worry about the cost of tree insurance, as professional tree service companies pay for their own coverage. For a tree service business, an average U.S. policy covering about $1 million in general liability costs roughly $40 a month or $500 a year. More extensive policies, providing between $500,000 to $2 million in coverage, can cost between $3,000 and $6,000 annually, depending on the company's size and scope of work. Tree service professionals should speak with an insurance company to determine the right plan for their business.
