"I'm very happy with the work that I had done as well as the very fair price. David made sure to explain what was happening as he completed the project, and worked with me on the best way to address some issues that were uncovered as the old roof was removed. They showed up exactly when they said they would, and finished right on schedule."

Customers say: True professional

"We had artificial turf installed in our back patio. Cristian was responsive, has a great attitude, and he was flexible scheduling our project. He and his team were professional, detailed, respectful, clean, and did an awesome job! It was an absolute pleasure to work with Cristian. He takes pride in his work and he implemented our vision for the project perfectly and had great suggestions along the way. We would highly recommend Cornejo Landscaping! Project scope involved removing pavers and existing turf and installing artificial turf and flagstone path."

"Amazingly, it was 90 feet of fencing. He did it piece by piece and even reinforced the bottom so that no "critters" could enter our patio. All was done in 2 days, and he even did a few little touch-up things with the landscape. we are considering having him do a stone wall at the property line shortly. We are very happy with his work"

"Always on time and kept me informed of schedule. Same workers each day w/ boss "George" here supervising, or out buying supplies as project scope changed. Listened to my suggestions and observations. My family thinks the job has been an historic improvement. Removed a HUGE amount of old cracked concrete, overgrown shrubs and catci. Redesigned entry walkway and patio shape. Corrected DRAINAGE problems created by tree roots. Excellent finish work on new poured concrete. Jorge also said he does raised walls, overhead shade structures, planting...most anything outside, PS, they moved existing sprinklers to new locations because of new concrete design. AND, the PRICE was right. All the things I was worried about in redoing this 40 yrs old concrete ---- Jorge took care of!!!"

Patios questions, answered by experts

A sunroom may count toward your home's total square footage or living space if it meets certain conditions, which can vary by local regulations. Generally, for a sunroom to be included, it must be fully enclosed, properly insulated, and equipped with electrical access and a heating and cooling (HVAC) system, similar to a four-season room. It should also meet the same construction standards as the rest of the house. Three-season sunrooms that function more like enclosed porches typically do not count toward the total square footage and are considered exterior living space.

An Arizona room may or may not count toward your home’s square footage, depending on local regulations and the specifics of the room, but generally does not get included in the total square footage. In many locations, a room needs to be built to the same quality as the rest of the home, have an integrated heating/cooling system, and be habitable year-round to count toward square footage.

Prefab kits like a small sunroom for around $20,000 or even a basic gazebo roof for as little as $60 can save you big over professional installation. However, you lose the option for customization, and these structures tend not to last nearly as long. As for bigger projects like a deck or patio, you shouldn’t go with the DIY route unless you’re fully prepped with the tools and know-how to get it done right. Mistakes can be frustrating and costly, so choose a pro if you’re looking to eliminate your risk of error.

While there is no one size that’s considered best, the sunroom size that’s best for you will come down to the size of your home and how you want to use your sunroom. Smaller sunrooms under 120 square feet provide a nice semi-outdoor sitting area, medium-sized sunrooms between 120 and 200 square feet can house an outdoor dining area and a small area for additional seating, and large sunrooms over 200 square feet can serve multiple purposes and even include an outdoor kitchen.

The least expensive way to enclose a porch is with screens. These protect the room by preventing insects from entering and, if you live in a warm climate, provide excellent airflow during hot summer months. Screens cost far less than any other alternative, so if you are against getting permits, spending too much, or enclosing your porch in walls or glass, screens are the best choice.
