I spoke with Alex on the phone and noted what I was looking to do and helped me schedule a meeting appointment. Marina reached out the night before and confirmed our meeting time and date. With most companies they typically give you a window of time and far often too wide a range for anyone to have a life that day. Our meeting was scheduled at a specific time and Roei (Pronounced Roy) showed up at that exact time! I realize that not everyone and certainly not all business can function in precise time slots, but as someone that is a planner and appreciates a set schedule, I knew this was a great first impression. Roei was fantastic. We didn’t know anything about the industry or what was involved and he clearly laid out and set proper expectations. Every question was answered and more importantly it felt like you had a buddy over that was visiting which is great when having someone you don’t know in your home.     After shopping several companies, we chose Horizon Construction and Remodeling for our home improvement project, which was to enlarge and update our kitchen and main bathroom. In addition, we converted all of our flooring to vinyl. We are extremely happy with the service, responsiveness, dependability, and the results Horizon provided. David Eskin was our project manager. David became a consultant and friend during the process. He proved to be patient and honest when we encountered an issue with the granite installation for our kitchen. We upgraded our material to a beautiful and unique Brazilian granite for our kitchen counter. Our initial granite slab cracked 3 feet across the width of the counter 2 days after installation. David and his crew reviewed the issue and, without hesitation or argument, removed the cracked granite and replaced it with a new slab at their cost. Although this experience was extremely stressful for all, the integrity displayed by David and Horizon was stellar and unique in the construction industry. Contractors are easy to find, but an honest and dependable one is rare in our opinion. On this experience alone, we would recommend Horizon Construction and Remodeling without reservation. They made it right. All construction is stressful and we lived in our house during the remodel. This project was our first in this home, but our fourth major reconstruction in our 45 years of marriage. Horizon was by far the best remodel experience read less

    I hired MDRN remodeling to do several projects at the beginning of 2021, including exterior paint, new flooring, a complete backyard renovation & a bathroom renovation. I have heard so many nightmare experiences of contractors acting in bad faith or projects coming out to be 3x as expensive as originally quoted. I feel very fortunate that my experience was the complete opposite. First and foremost, the work done on my house was extremely well done. Everything came out beautifully & way better than I originally anticipated. The project only was more expensive than the original budget when I decided to make upgrades on materials, other than that it was extremely close to the original plan. Communication from the MDRN team was constant, consistent, professional & stress free. I never felt any pressure to do anything I wasn't comfortable with, and if we ever hit a snag, all of my options were laid put to me in an honest and thorough way. All of the crews who were in and out of my house were also professional, kind, thoughtful & diligent. Great communication & follow through.     As a DIY handyman myself I know quality work when I see it. I wasn’t able to remodel my kitchen as it was beyond my own skills, so I hired A Builders to accomplish what I couldn’t. I was considering remodeling my kitchen for a few years and just never had the money to. When I could finally afford it, I was so spooked about hiring a contractor. Every story I heard was so terrifying! Everyone I knew remodeled got ripped off, the contractor did a horrible job and had to redo the project, or simply took their money and never showed up. I went on a couple of different website to read reviews and watch client testimonials. After meeting a couple of them, I signed a contract with A Builders. They had great reviews and when I asked if they can take me to a few of their completed and ongoing projects; they did not hesitate! They immediately agreed. We ended up remodeling our kitchen, backyard, and added a new laundry room. Their crew was so respectful, clean, and always on time. Living in your home through construction can be a little bothersome and disturbing. Not to mention that you have no privacy but the crew gave me as much privacy as possible and also disturbed me as little as possible since I work from home. The quality and craftsmanship A Builders provides is just superb! If you are looking for a good, and trustworthy contractor definitely call A Builder’s! They made what I thought would be a horrible experience into a marvelous, easy-going one! I’ll certainly be contacting them down the road for all my remodeling projects. All in all, I was thoroughly satisfied with their work ethic, promptness and punctuality, and their character, which for me is most important.     I told the contractor that I needed the the Washer and dryer opening to move out and be flush with the door frame next to the wall. I came up later to see what was happening. They put the new dry wall on the door frame, not flush to it. The was over 38" which was too much. The worker already cut the carpeted area and know we had a big problem. The only way he could fix this was by taking off the dry wall and putting the mud and orange peel on the wood by putting paper on the wood first and it would cost me a extra $200.00 more for his mistake. I had no choice but to do this. The job came out terrible. one wall curved inward, and the other small wall was smaller on the bottom and wider at the top. The contractor also put the wood board edge flush to the new small wall and the mud goes below the wood and out farther than the wood. The orange peel was not even close to the same type of design like on the other walls and there were areas that had none on it. He said it was my fault because I wanted the wall not curving inward. Now the sliding glass mirror doors track and the top frame were too short. He said that they way it is. The contractor didn't build the walls out far enough. I went to Home Depot to buy a new lower slider and new top and she said it's the contractors fault. I told him this and he filled in the two holes on the top frame with wood to fill in the holes. On the bottom slider he just caulk the area so it wasn't open at the end. I said to him I was very unhappy with the work and just said he lost money on the job. He had a worker helping him on the first day only. The man was recommended by Angies list which I will never use Angies List again. This job to redo would cost me over $2500.00 so I am leaving it as it is read less

    We contracted with Avi and Finesse Remodeling to remodel our kitchen and adjacent family room and bathroom and we are very pleased with the results. We put our contractor search into high gear in October 2020. We spoke with many contractors who all seemed really good but Avi was a touch above the rest. He not only had great ideas but was also very personable. We ideally wanted our new kitchen before Christmas but were concerned if it could get done in time and Avi said he could do it in 6 weeks, and he and his team completed the projects in in 6 weeks! Suffice it to say that as the homeowner I had to be fully engaged and do my part to make it happen so it was a great team effort. Not only did Avi and crew do great work, but Avi kept things moving really well and he worked tirelessly to ensure the different specialists did their work as scheduled. The specialists included plumbing and electrical rough work, drywall and painting, cabinets, countertops, backsplash, flooring, final plumbing and electrical and appliances installation. Avi’s attention to detail throughout the project was fantastic. When it came time to resolve punch list items, he got all the issues resolved that resulted from the work and that were in scope.
