Over 40,000 Families Have Trusted Alan Smith Pool Plastering Since 1981. We Always Insist On Doing Every Job Right. *No cheap substandard cements, aggregates or pigments in our pool finishes *No sub-contracted, unqualified & inexperienced plastering finishers (We only have an “A” team) *Every job is run by a team of experts and has a dedicated project manager. *No inflated pricing, all estimates come from a company price list. Quality work at a fair price. What a concept! Yes, you have dozens-maybe even hundreds of options- for resurfacing and remodeling your pool. And the question we get all the time is “why should we go with Alan Smith Pool Plastering?” To be up front with you, we’re not the cheapest contractor. We’re also not the fastest. If you are looking for fast and cheap, head down to the Home Depot or Lowe’s or call around to some of our competitors. That being said, our work is not exclusively for the rich and famous either. In fact, our typical customer has a 15,000 gallon pool, makes between $85,000-$110,000 in household income, and spends between $10,000-$20,000 with us on their pool and spa renovation.(yes several choose to upgrade and remodel their entire backyard with pavers, patio covers, masonry and outdoor lighting) In other words, we cater to people who can afford to do the job right the first time. People who want the job to outlast their lifetime, and we don’t want to save a few dollars by using cheap materials and labor instead of quality products and an experienced work force. Here’s what you really need to know. Our pool surface warranty is 10 YEARS because once we resurface your pool it is NOT coming off since we use advanced pool prepping technology that creates a high strength bond. Most of our jobs are from past customer and referrals from friends, neighbors and family-they like us enough to come back. We do a really good job & we have since 1981. We DO NOT clean pools, nor do we REPAIR Portable Hot Tubs. Call us to discuss your project.
"Rarely am I moved enough to write a review about my personal experience with a company….. this is the exception and for compelling reasons. Over eight years ago, my husband and I hired Allen Smith Pools to resurface our pool and spa, install new water line and other tiles and additional miscellaneous work to completely rehab our then 18 year old pool. Their finish is warranted for 10 years. Recently, our spa developed a rather significant leak which was determined to be coming through a crack in the pebble aggregate finish installed 8 years ago. ASPs came out and epoxy patched the leak which successfully ended the water loss but was cosmetically unacceptable and which did not determine the cause of the crack. This past week, large crews, trucks, equipment and materials showed up at our home for many successive days and nearly the entire spa was demolished and rebuilt, including rebar tied in, plumbing fixed, new pebble finish (perfect match to 8 year old pool). During that process, it was determined that the crack was caused by sub-standard ORIGINAL construction practices. DESPITE THE CAUSE OF THE LEAK BEING DUE TO ORIGINAL CONSTRUCTION DEFICIENCIES, 18 YEARS before ASPs stepped foot on our property and by a different contractor, ASPs stood behind their warranty and fixed EVERYTHING, including, at no cost to us, replacing upwards of 30 tiles which were cracked and which had nothing to do with the spa finish crack. Rick Specht and Dario and Darren all worked together to solve this problem and ensure the warranty was honored. How often in today’s world of “bottom line” business does a company just do the right thing and then go above and beyond to boot? If any homeowner needs ANY pool or spa work done, cash a winning ticket and contact Alan Smith Pools. I’m still pinching myself."

Sea Pool Service and Repair is your number one choice for all your pool cleaning needs. Our commitment to quality is second to none, and we guarantee your complete satisfaction. We enjoy creating long term relationships with each of our clients, and we look forward to making your pool sparkle!
"David and his pool company were good when we were getting maintenance on our pool weekly. When we switched to bi-weekly is when everything changed. We have a salt pool and we noticed that when his technician was coming, he was only there for a short while and it seemed like the pool was not getting cleaned thoroughly. We noticed slime on the sides of the pool and dead leaves and bugs. We brought this to his attention with pictures and videos. First, he tried saying that he was not aware that we had switched to bi-weekly. Then we showed him text messages where we had confirmed. Then he tried saying it was because the water level was below the skimmer box. So we made sure it was always remaining full. He also said that we had not wanted to have our filter cleaned and changed, to which we again showed him text messages where we approved the cleaning and changing of our filter. He kept insisting that we should go back to weekly cleaning. Finally, he said that the technician who serviced our pool had informed him via a picture that our skimmer was cracked. We were astonished that he did not immediately inform us and asked if he could please forward the picture that was sent to him so we could get our home warranty company to open a claim. He refused and kept dodging sending it or even answering direct questions as to whether he would send it. We have a remaining balance with the company but it is so difficult to consider paying it and we have had to purchase over $300 of supplies to try and clean it ourselves. The most troubling thing is we had another pool company come out to give us an estimate of what it would cost and they informed us that someone had turned the pump system off. We never go back to the pool supply area and are absolutely baffled as to what happened the last two months we were being serviced by this company. Like I said, before we switched to bi-weekly services, things were fine. It was not until we changed that things started getting bad and it seemed the whole thing was to try and get us back to weekly services. We now have a very dirty pool and who knows how much it is going to cost to repair it."

Orange County’s Pool Builder Since 1954 Swan Pools is a pool construction contractor specializing in building custom swimming pools, spas, walkways, patios and more. We’ve designed and built thousands of swimming pools and landscapes for home owners throughout Southern California for over 70 years. We Create Beautiful Outdoor Spaces that You Will Love for Years to Come!
"Project manager was a general contractor not a pool person. You do not know the quality of the work until it is done then it is too late. Concrete has large dark blotches in a few places. I think it?s because concrete wasn?t mixed thoroughly leaving an inconsistent color. Looks bad. Developed a crack within the first couple of weeks and was told nothing could be done. Concrete around top of spa is crooked and inconsistent. Amateur job. My neighbor?s was done around the same time (different company) and is perfectly straight. Salesman was knowledgeable but never returned to check the job. I do not think anyone really knew what they were doing. Just kind of faking it. Do not recommend. No real upside to the job."

You should have your spa or hot tub inspected and serviced yearly to prevent more costly repairs. Regular hot tub maintenance can save money and help keep you safe from hazards such as faulty wiring. Call a professional hot tub repair specialist, who will know what common issues to look for and have the parts and tools on hand to fix them immediately.
The cost to repair a hot tub or spa ranges from about $170 to $550, depending on the repairs needed. Some of the most common hot tub repairs include leaks, clogged filters, and tripped GFCI breakers. If it’s an electrical problem, you should contact a professional hot tub repair service. Don’t DIY electrical repairs on a hot tub, as poorly repaired wiring can make the hot tub a serious electrocution hazard.
Pool repair costs vary depending on the type of pool. Repairing an inground pool ranges from $350 to $2,700, depending on the extent of the repairs needed. Repairs to an above-ground pool usually cost $100 to $700. The most common repairs include patching or replacing the vinyl pool liner, fixing plumbing or electrical lines, and repairing pumps, filters, and other equipment.
Depending on the size and type of pool, cleaning services cost about $80 to $150 per month, or $960 to $1,800 per year. Pool maintenance and cleaning services often include:
Testing the pH levels of your water
Cleaning filters, skimmer baskets, and traps
Skimming surface debris from the water
Vacuuming the pool
Additional cleaning and upkeep
