"We needed a new roof for our house. Our ‘old’ roof had few leaks and several problems that required the replacement with a new one. The last rain resulted in a water leak to the bedrooms area. So, we called Landmark construction energy upgrade because they did our neighbor's roof a year ago and they gave us an estimate at that time. This time, they just updated the estimate and they were able to lower it, which was cheaper than the other estimates we got. The good feeling was much better because it’s a family business who not only give the bid but do the work. No hard sell here or having the bid from one guy but the work is with unknown others - as it was with other bids. Landmark did the job so good and very fast as well which was awesome! The workers from Landmark made sure to clean the roof and they did a quality work. The roof was a mess with lots of humps, bumps and terrible pad for the Air conditioning. They rebuilt it all, and had people who came to do specialty tasks, such as hooking up the dish, the air conditioning condenser etc.… More than that, they also fixed the gutters and made sure they are connected correctly. All in all, this project is complete and done. We are no longer have to deal with the old roof and leaks for at least for 20 years. Before we did the new roof, The office staff helped us with the Cool Roof rebate from the power company and the federal tax rebate for an Energy Star roof, both of which we were not aware. Landmark construction energy upgrade are now our roofers who did a great work and have other great contractors to supplement for special tasks and run an all-around energy efficient business. If we ever move or we have a natural disaster, we know who will work for us."

"This repair of my Microwave went very well, with AMJ Appliance Repair accommodating my request to come early in the established window. He was efficient, got to the point, and made sure he brought parts with him. 5* to AMJ Appliance Repair. But I am still smarting from my last experience with Choice Home Warranty denying my claim on a boiler repair with no ability to appeal. The guy that eventually fixed it for me said Choice was wrong and should have repaired it."

"The company that came out to do the air duct and dryer vent cleaning was Mr. Clean Ducts from Stockton. There was a mix up as to when they were to come out.  At first the date was set for 04/24/12, then I got a call stating that the truck had a problem that needed to be fixed and that the date had to be moved up to 04/26/12. They did arrive on time and set up everything. One of the workers was bilingual, speaking English and Spanish and the other only spoke Spanish. The person who spoke only Spanish placed one of vent covers on backwards which my husband had to put back on correctly. My husband and son also had to help them fix a flat tire that they had no idea as to how to fix. We ended up buying a filter that could be used and cleaned with a lifetime guarantee. Overall, the work was okay, but would not recommend them again."
