"We did a whole kitchen remodel. David was very knowledgeable and recommended a wall removal which completely changed the look of our kitchen and opened it up. Everyone that worked on the kitchen was very professional and they stuck to their schedule. They were pretty quick getting us back in our kitchen and it turned our beautiful. "Another job well done! We hired Frankie and his crew, Anderson and Ronnie, again for a second project repairing our large second story wood deck, stairs, and patio cover. They replaced all the wood posts with lag bolts, deck rails, stair rails, patio cover lattice, lower main post covers, and primer painted everything. They also ran electrical and installed 2 electrical outlets, indoor power switches, and 2 large ceiling fans and patched drywall inside and painted to match. Our black railing balusters with be installed after our house and deck are painted. Just like our first project, they did a very professional quality job! They worked all day every day in the hot sun until the job was completed. At the end of every single day they spent time cleaning up all debris. Everyone on Frankie's crew was very respectful, friendly, and accommodating. The end result was exactly what we asked for at an affordable price. Would definitely hire them again!"

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

Yes, a pool with a heater will lose more water. The heater warms the water, which increases the rate of evaporation. To minimize water loss from evaporation, you can install a pool cover and keep the pool covered when it is not in use.

Vinyl pools are the least expensive for installation thanks to the relatively low cost of vinyl pool liners. However, vinyl liners do not last as long as fiberglass or concrete designs, which could balance out the cost of the pool overall depending on its size.

The total time to install an inground pool typically ranges from 8 weeks to 4 months. This timeline can be influenced by several factors, including permitting, site preparation, and the construction process itself.

Key phases and their typical durations include:

  • Permits: Obtaining necessary permits can take anywhere from two to six weeks.

  • Excavation and Site Preparation: This phase takes about a week but can be extended by problematic soil, unexpected ground conditions, or the need to move underground utility lines.

  • Construction: The actual build, including plumbing and electrical work, often takes one to two months. The pool material is a major factor here; a concrete pool needs about 30 days to cure, while installing a fiberglass or vinyl liner is much faster.

External factors can also cause significant delays:

  • Contractor Availability: Spring and summer are busy seasons, and high demand can lead to long waitlists, potentially adding months to your start date. It is often recommended to start planning and getting estimates up to a year in advance.

  • Other Delays: Weather, material shortages, complex designs, and other unforeseen challenges can extend the project timeline.

If you've decided to fill in or remove your pool, begin by researching local, reputable pool removal companies to take care of the job for you. There are a variety of companies and contractors that can handle the work. You can start by looking for demolition or construction companies. Also, some pool builders will handle fills and removals.

It’s a good idea to call in a pro to fill in your pool, because there are many potential hazards to doing it yourself. Unless you’re careful, you can damage your septic tank, plumbing pipes, and sprinkler lines. It’s also possible to damage your sewer connections, utility lines, driveway, landscaping, and sidewalk.
