"Amy Weaver is exceptional at her ability to take a client’s needs, ideas and design dreams and turn them into something better than I could ever have imagined. She is extremely patient and professional. Home Depot is lucky to have her on their team. She even sold us on another flooring project Home Depot quoted, that we weren’t entirely sold on, by explaining their proposal more thoroughly and suggesting solutions to our objections. Amy earned our respect and inspired several future projects with Home Depot. I only hope she will be recognized for going so far above and beyond. Thank you Amy!!"

"We love our cabinets! They look fantastic while remaining affordable. The friendly staff at AWD helped us from start to finish. They are very knowledgeable and gave us advice and tips when needed. They were receptive and patient with our ever-changing needs. Once we finalized our purchase, we received our cabinets within two weeks! The cabinets are very sturdy and the color is beautiful. The hinges and hardware are high quality. We are extremely pleased with AWD and would recommend them to any friends or family looking for good cabinets at a fair price."

"I wish we knew Eran earlier. If so, we would absolutely hire Moriah Remodeling & Construction to do all the remodeling projects we did at our house. Eran was the 4th contractor that we interviewed for our master bathroom remodeling project. Eran was very professional, honest, knowledgeable, sharp and well organized. Not like all the other ones that we met who only were interested in making their money. Eran was a problem solver. His team was very professional, well managed, and they did everything that was promised by Eran on schedule. Eran did his best to have everything done on time and with no problems or issues with the work. He did what we were promised by the company and we just do not have to worry about the entire project. His work saved us lots of time and worries. We are 100% pleased with the three master bathroom remodeling projects. Thanks Moriah Remodeling & Construction team."

"Joshua has done a lot of work for us over the last year - from replacing blinds to fixing faucets, toilets and installing light fixtures, smoke alarms, shower fixtures, etc.  His work is always excellent!  He is very prompt, reliable, and does a thorough job.  I was thrilled to find such a great handyman since we had to move and rent out our house.  The only problem is that his schedule is very busy because he's so good!!

Closets questions, answered by experts

If you’re on a tight budget, the least expensive material you can buy for DIY closet shelves is chipboard, a.k.a. particle board. This inexpensive material is made from a pulp of sawdust, resin, and glue that’s pressed together under high temperature and pressure. As you can imagine, it’s not very sturdy and might buckle under your blue jean collection, so you should only use it if you’re storing very light items.

Although you can complete a closet frame in just an afternoon, finishing the entire closet will take a few days to a week. However, that’s still not as much as the average time it takes to remodel a closet, which can take anywhere from several weeks to more than a month. That’s because you also have to consider the time it will take to demolish the existing space, plan a new design, order materials, and actually install it.

When storing your clothes long-term, first consider the container's breathability. While plastic bags, cardboard boxes, or vacuum sealing may be great options for short-term storage, they won’t help your clothes hold up in the long term. Breathable plastic boxes and fabric bags help with airflow, prevent mold or mildew from building up, and allow proper airflow.

You can modernize an old-looking closet by just painting it, but beyond that, consider electric elements like recessed or accent lighting. If this is a large and deep closet, you can consider adding an island to the middle or a nice ottoman on a rug. Luxury closets will have even more items, like felt-lined drawers for watches and jewelry, in-wall safes, electronic shoe storage, or a tablet catalog of their items.

Custom closet renovations offer a return on investment of 50% to 60%. This means that if you spend $2,000 on a closet remodel, you can expect to see your home's value increase by $1,000 to $1,200. Investing in a custom closet allows you to enhance your daily living experience while building equity.
