"We love our cabinets! They look fantastic while remaining affordable. The friendly staff at AWD helped us from start to finish. They are very knowledgeable and gave us advice and tips when needed. They were receptive and patient with our ever-changing needs. Once we finalized our purchase, we received our cabinets within two weeks! The cabinets are very sturdy and the color is beautiful. The hinges and hardware are high quality. We are extremely pleased with AWD and would recommend them to any friends or family looking for good cabinets at a fair price."

"We used Moriah Remodeling & Construction for a remodeling project recently and I cannot recommend them extremely enough. They did awesome work at all stages of the remodeling project, from drafting to design to the actual work. On top of that, they were very friendly and nice people to work with. My remodeling project included: New kitchen, new hardwood flooring and paint of the entire house, in addition to some minor bathroom updates. From the beginning, the design team made me feel at ease with their wonderful suggestions and attention to all the detail. Working with them certainly felt like a collaborative effort. They are very open to my ideas, implementing the great ones and explaining the differences. In addition to designing the cabinets, they helped me select all the appliances, flooring, paint. The team was top-notch. They were friendly, skilled, hardworking and excellent craftspeople. The whole remodeling project was completed within our budget and just a little over timeâ ¦ but thatâ s because we added more things during the work. Were thrilled with how things turned out!"

Cabinet Making questions, answered by experts

There are three primary ways to attach upper kitchen cabinets to a wall, and installers may use more than one method at a time. The most common method is to drive screws through the back of the cabinets and into studs in the wall behind. Sometimes cabinets are glued to the wall with strong adhesive. Often a combination of screws and adhesive is desirable. The last way is by hanging the cabinets on hardware brackets that attach to the wall before cabinet installation.

In a kitchen installation, starting with the foundation and structural elements before moving on to the finishing touches is essential. Framing, plumbing, and utilities should go first, followed by cabinetry and countertops, then plumbing fixtures and new appliances. Flooring, paint, tile backsplashes, and similar finishing touches should get installed last.

As a homeowner, there are a few things you can do to prepare for your cabinet installer. Once the cabinets are ready for your home, you can do the following:

  • Ensure pets are safely in another room, out of the way of open doors and large moving objects.

  • Clear countertops for removal.

  • Tidy the floor the installers will walk through and around.

  • Prepare to have the installers in your home for the entire day, for multiple days, until the project is done. Expect to have a noisy environment, especially if they will remove old, existing cabinets.

Clean regularly, avoid harsh chemicals, and check hinges for proper alignment to ensure longevity.

The cost of bathroom cabinets is $550 on average. You could spend as low as $330 or as much as $42,000 or more, depending on the cabinet size and the type of cabinet you choose.

Stock bathroom cabinets are the most cost-effective option, ranging from $40 to $500 on average. Semi-custom bathroom cabinets range from about $500 to $800 per unit (without installation costs) and offer a wider variety of door and drawer styles than stock cabinets. Custom cabinets range from $700 to $1,000 or more per unit before installation costs.
