I have vinyl flooring and carpet and she deep cleaned both types of flooring at a very thoroughly. She even helped me clean my outside porch area (that was a really nice surprise ) She is incredibly passionate at what she does. "To Whom It May Concern, I am writing this letter of recommendation to highly recommend Tiffany Peck as a professional cleaner. I had the pleasure of hiring Tiffany to clean my home, and I was extremely impressed with her work. Tiffany is an incredibly thorough cleaner. She pays attention to every detail and ensures that every corner of the house is spotless. I was amazed at how efficiently she worked, completing the cleaning tasks in a timely manner without compromising on quality. Tiffany is dedicated to providing the best possible service and goes above and beyond to exceed expectations. One of the things that stood out to me about Tiffany is her work ethic. She works diligently and rarely takes breaks, allowing her to complete the cleaning job quickly and efficiently. I appreciated her professionalism and her ability to manage her time effectively. Not only is Tiffany an excellent cleaner, but she is also a wonderful person to have around. She is friendly, trustworthy, and respectful of the home and its belongings. I felt completely comfortable having her in my home, knowing that she would treat it with the utmost care and respect. Tiffany is also great with pets. She took the time to interact with my pets and ensure their comfort while she was cleaning. It was evident that she genuinely cares about animals and knows how to handle them with care. In addition to her exceptional cleaning skills, Tiffany's prices are remarkable. She offers competitive rates for her services, making her an excellent choice for anyone in need of a professional cleaner. Overall, I had the best experience with Tiffany as a cleaner. Her attention to detail, efficiency, trustworthiness, and pet-friendly nature make her deserving of a five-star rating. I highly recommend Tiffany Peck for any cleaning needs and am confident that she will provide an outstanding service. Sincerely, Brittney Paiva"

Drapery Cleaning questions, answered by experts

You should avoid using a pressure washer on any surface or item that could be damaged by the high-pressure spray, as some materials are too delicate to withstand the force.

Key items and surfaces to avoid include:

  • Electrical Components: Never pressure wash electrical systems, as water can cause short-circuits and create a safety hazard. This includes utility meters, breaker boxes, electrical outlets, generators, and HVAC or air conditioner units.

  • Delicate and Fragile Materials: Fragile items can crack, shatter, or be stripped by the pressure. Avoid pressure washing windows, glass, light fixtures, shingled roofs (especially asphalt), and stucco.

  • Painted, Stained, or Sealed Surfaces: Unless your goal is to strip the finish, do not pressure wash painted surfaces, stained wood (like decks), or anything with a protective seal that could be stripped away. Be especially cautious with older surfaces that may contain lead paint.

  • Soft Woods and Certain Decking: Delicate surfaces like softwood, composite decking, and antique or wooden patio furniture can be etched or damaged. If you must wash wood, use a lower-powered pressure washer with a wide-angle nozzle to prevent damage.

  • Living Things: Never use a pressure washer on people, pets, or plants. The force can cause serious injury and will destroy landscaping.

If you proactively avoid grime buildup and mold growth, you can clean the shower curtains as needed. However, if you forget to take preventive action, a good rule of thumb is to clean fabric curtains about every three months. And you’ll clean plastic liners and curtains every three to four weeks.

Vacuum regularly, spot-clean stains, and follow care instructions for specific fabrics to maintain their appearance.

The recommended frequency for professionally cleaning drapes varies. As a general guideline, aim for every four to five years. However, you should consider more frequent cleanings in specific circumstances. For homes with pets, heavy soiling, or residents with severe allergies, cleaning every two to three years—or even two to four times per year—is beneficial. Light-colored drapes may need cleaning every one to two years to maintain their appearance. Some also follow a biannual schedule, cleaning in the spring to remove winter dust and in the fall to remove summer pollen. In between professional services, lightly vacuum your drapes with a special attachment to remove surface debris, but avoid abrasive brushes on delicate fabrics like silk and linen.

You’ve stored your coats away all summer long, but now that the temperatures drop, you notice they smell weird as you pull them from storage. What’s the deal? If your clothes smell weird after you stored them, they may have been in a moist, dark environment for several weeks or months. This environment is ideal for mildew growth, which can make clothes smell musty.
