"The job went very well. John worked with us by performing the work over three move-ins so that we were able to use most of our house during the process. The level of quality is very good including cement floated floors over wood and hot mop tar for waterproofing in the shower. The layout for the tile pattern was right on and Johns recommendations are good and should followed. I am a licensed contractor in another trade so I have a good understanding of doing a job right with a critical eye for workmanship."

"I was hoping to remove and replace my 50 year old tired and broken tile in the kitchen with something fresher but after talking with George, he suggested I replace the tile with granite counter tops. Now top grade counter tops for my kitchen would generally cost about $3K plus installation but George knew of a granite product which he quoted me $1400 to install.  There was an additional cost of $150 for a new stainless sink but I didnt think that was too bad.  I could have skipped the sink but because of space limitations, the granite top would have had to be cut in half around the sink and I didnt think I would like that look.
Georges workers did the job in just a few hours and my wife is very happy with the results.
The project left me needing to call a plumber to install the sink connections and garbage disposal but now everything is just fine.

"We highly recommend J.C. Tiles Company! The owner Jose was amazing. We are so impressed by his work. every detail we spent talking over he listened to the vision and our concerns ... we needed J.C. Tile company to completely remove our very old shower... he did a great job with keeping everything clean and protected. Also, did a beautiful job artistically lining up the tiles to reflect a waterfall-like flow coming down from the top.. It came out unique and looks like I paid a lot of money for this project but, actually it was very reasonable. We paid out of pocket for all materials. We are so happy with his work. the installation of our new beautiful tile walls to the ceiling and pebble floor is a wonderful change. also, they helped assist with plumbing and shower doors install. I highly recommend Jose company J.C.Tiles."

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

You can attach tiles to a wall using thin-set mortar. You’ll also need a notched trowel to create grooves within the adhesive so it flattens completely when pressed in and securely holds the wall tiles. Finally, you’ll need grout to smooth the gaps between the tiles and, ideally, a grout sealer to prevent mold. While it sounds simple enough, proper planning and execution are crucial, so carefully review the steps in this guide or hire a pro tile installer to complete this project.

Glass, ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone are all excellent choices for tiling a shower floor. Some glazed finishes can be slippery when wet. Your tiling contractor can provide more information on which tiles will work best for your shower floor.

Most professional shower tile installations take between six and eight hours, depending on the size and complexity. Most projects get completed in a single workday. DIY-ing the project takes around three to four days or roughly 16 hours. However, this will vary based on the skill level of the person completing the work.

Tiles last for around 100 years or more. Tiles on backsplashes can last even longer since they’re less likely to crack under foot traffic or from accidental drops, but even tile in high-traffic flooring can last a century or more with proper installation and upkeep. Porcelain tiles are denser and stronger than standard ceramic tiles, so they’ll last longer, often pushing past the 100-year mark.

Yes, it’s possible to cut tile without a wet saw; instead, you can use an angle grinder, a glass cutter, a snap cutter, tile nippers, or a rotary tool with a tile-cutting blade. A manual tile cutter or snap cutter works well for the larger tiles that wet saws are typically used for, while smaller projects might just require nippers or a glass cutting wheel. If you’re working with large quantities of tile, however, power tools are best.
