"I called here to have a 82" TV and sound bar installed. I've never seen such helpful guys. I was impatient and didn't want to wait a few days for an appointment, so when I called around 1pm asking for a same day appointment, they made it happen. They were able to shuffle guys around and get them to my house all the way across town. Not only did they pull that off, I explained I had an appointment I had to go to within 2 hours. They had someone get to me within 30 minutes and complete my install. They didn't up-sell me, nor did they charge me for the rushed appointment. I would recommend this company for all of your home theater and TV, sound installs. Couldn't ask for a better set of guys. Thank you"

Tv Antenna Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, in general, raising your TV antenna will improve your reception. Besides raising the location of your antenna, you should try putting it by a window. In fact, you can have the same antenna but get double the channels or more if it's in the best location. The highest spot to put a TV antenna will be on your roof, and the tallest type of outdoor antenna is a tower.

Outdoor TV antennas are often worth it, as the signals broadcast in your area are always stronger outside. If you have an indoor antenna that isn’t performing well, call a TV antenna installation company to come out and use a signal checker to see if a stronger signal is available on your roof, as it often will be. Outdoor antennas require longer cables, which can decrease the quality of the picture, but a professional should be able to find a position where cable length is minimized, and the available signal is strongest for ideal performance.

There aren’t any guarantees that the TV antenna you purchase and install will provide perfect reception. Much depends on your distance from broadcasting towers, any nearby obstructions, and typical weather. However, doing some research minimizes the risk of disappointment.

You can speak to neighbors to understand their setup. Various online tools allow you to check how far you are from TV transmitters in your area. The Federal Communications Commission, for example, has a tool enabling you to check local Digital TV channel reception.

Selecting the right type of antenna for your situation and having it properly positioned and installed will also increase the chances of better reception.

The cost to repair your TV antenna is around $200 for the average homeowner. However, charges could be as low as $60 or as high as $450. Factors such as multidirectional or unidirectional, indoor or outdoor, and amplified or non-amplified all play an essential role in determining the cost of your repair. For example, outdoor antennas cost more on average to repair than indoor ones, much like amplified antennas cost more to repair than unamplified ones.

Costs depend on antenna type, labor, replacement parts, and necessary realignment.
