Customers say: Quick response

"Carlos showed up early to my office on a Saturday morning, and finished the replacement of the electrical panel (circa 1940's) with a more up to date one with extra breakers for future expansion, all in record time. He was neat, tidy and efficient, and explained everything he was doing without being asked, in easy to understand "layman's" terms. I will use his services for any future electrical work and will gladly and enthusiastically recommend him to any one I come into contact with who asks for a recommendations for someone to help them with their electrical needs."

"I had a great experience with 3CAB ELECTRIC INC. Juan and his team were punctual, respectful, and very detail-oriented in their work. They installed a new electrical panel, connected the water heater, added a surge protector, and made sure everything was sealed properly and professionally finished. I definitely recommend them 100% and will give them more projects in the future. Thank you for your professionalism and honesty!"

"They called us quickly and got a plumber out within a few days. Super thorough - tested all pipes and water sources to diagnose the problem. They were able to perform maintenance on most bathrooms the same day and improve the water temperature in our showers. Gave helpful, non-biased advice on potential further plumbing improvements. We will likely call this company again for any and all future plumbing needs."

"Albrik Electric Co was contracted out as a 3rd party to complete an installation for a business client. The former electrical contractor was let go and Albrik Electric Co stepped in to resume the work. Between the ease of communication, the quality of work, flexibility of work time, and fair pricing, I highly recommend using Albrik Electric Co. We will consider using this company again for future projects."

"Primo Electric has a team of tradesmen each knows his specific task, they are professional, courteous, and they are having fun while they do their jobs. I watched them from a distance and learned how a well managed team works in harmony. They installed a 200amp main panel, 125am sub-panel, and ran a below ground feeder to the garage from the main panel install. Big Job, all done in 1 day, incredible. They will get more jobs from me in the future."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

A 100 amp electrical service panel can't convert into a 200 amp panel simply by switching the breakers or adding circuits. Upgrading from 100 to 200 amps typically requires replacing the circuit box and updating the electrical service coming into the house. Your electrician will handle the details of the project to ensure a safe and thorough installation.

On average, it takes from four to eight hours to replace an outside electrical meter box, not including rewiring. It will take a few more hours if the project requires pros to do any rewiring work. Consult your local electrician about a time estimate for your specific project.

Circuit breakers can wear out, but it takes a long time. Circuit breakers typically last several decades if they don’t face problems like floods or frequent lightning storms. Worn-out circuit breakers may trip more frequently as time passes. However, they can also stop tripping altogether, which leads to electrical dangers. If your breakers have passed the 30-year mark, it’s time to consider an inspection.

Single switch installs are quick DIY projects, but you should consider enlisting the help of a pro for more complicated replacements—like a smart switch or if you live in an older home with outdated wiring. Professional electricians are trained in the latest code regulations. They are also insured, licensed, and bonded.

Yes, it's possible to have electrical receptacles and overhead lights on the same circuit. The reason is that lights typically use much less power than large appliances, so combining them won't overload your circuit. By doing this, you can distribute the power consumption throughout the breakers in your panel more efficiently, which can be helpful if you have a lot of different electrical devices in your home.
