"Richard did an excellent job installing tile floor in our bathroom. He was very responsive in his communication, gave a good quote and was able to complete the job quickly. He did the demo, removed vanity, all the tile work, and put everything back together. His tile work is flawless, really shows his experience and expertise. We had herringbone mosaic tile sheets and all the edges look perfect and everything seamless."

Small jobs welcome

"Miguel did a fireplace tile installation for me in my home. I was very impressed with how great it came out and with how quickly Miguel was able to do it. The price was very reasonable compared to other companies I had reached out to. I will be hiring him again soon to complete another installation in my home soon."

"There were several hours late, but did call to explain another job was taking longer.  I think someone just forgot us, and then discovered and roused up another truck to come out and do our job.  That said, they did show up, do good work.  I had not used a carpet cleaner in several years and thought $180 a bit much for a one room and stairs, but others seem to think this is the current rate.  The carpets did look very good.

After 25 years of working in the wood flooring business across the United States, the Mongalo family discovered a new design for wood: wood floors, wooden tables, wooded panels, wood etc. The new design took approximately 3 months to complete. On the date of completion its combination of art and creativity invented glow in the dark wood. After the patent application was accepted, Mongalo Designs was established and the company has started to produce pre-finished glow in the dark wood floors also know as glowry Flooring. Magical Flooring concentrates on providing customer satisfaction services at competitive prices. It is established to provide the highest value for each dollar spent. There are top of the line machinery and finish products that are not available at Home-depot, Lowes, or any retail store, which Magical Flooring uses. For this reason, Magical Flooring' goal is to leave the client with a professional job. Additional email: [email protected] DBA - Mongalo Designs

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

On average, tiling a bathroom involves about 12 hours of labor, usually spread over two to three days to accommodate prep work and curing times. A professional tiler can often complete the installation in 6 to 8 hours, whereas a DIYer might take 10 to 16 hours. The total project time is influenced by factors like the bathroom layout, tile type, and necessary prep work, such as removing old tile. The process includes specific timelines for different areas; for example, tiling a floor takes about six hours, while a shower area can take six to ten hours. It is essential to allow for adequate curing time—typically 24 hours each—for the mortar, grout, and caulk, which is why the project extends over several days.

Porcelain and ceramic tiles are made from clay, but porcelain tiles are fired in a kiln at a higher temperature. This makes them more durable, but it also means porcelain is more expensive than ceramic at $3 to $5 more per square foot.

Even with the higher price point, many people choose porcelain over ceramic because there are more color and design options.

The grout shade you choose comes down to personal taste and preference. A darker grout will give you a more dramatic and noticeable contrast with the tile around it; however, lighter grout helps create a more uniform look when blending the colors together. Additionally, a darker grout combined with a patterned tile could be overwhelming to the eye, while lighter grout makes the pattern stand out as the main focus.

The number of shower niches you need (or want) depends on the size of the shower and how many bathroom products you plan on storing. If you keep it simple with just soap and shampoo, the one shower niche will probably do the trick. But if you’re adding scrubs and soaks, you may need to think about installing two or more.

Tile shouldn’t be set tight against the tub. Bathtubs can expand when filled, and they can shift slightly with the weight of occupants. For this reason, it’s important to leave a slight gap between the bathtub and the first row of tile. Aim for a narrow gap of approximately 1/16 of an inch, filled with caulk, to allow for this expansion and movement while still allowing for tile shower waterproofing.
