D&D walked them through the entire process and took my input on which way the planks would run and where the carpet seams would be. The stairs' carpet has a pattern. D&D did a great job making sure that the cuts made fit the pattern, so it looked like a continuous piece of carpet. Due to the amount of work, it took them a couple of days.
