"Mehr was incredible! Great response, the first to contact me after I submitted my request. I made an appointment for 3 days from then. he made it very easy to contact him and ask additional questions. After he completed my window cleaning, I was ready to pay him. He asked if we could walk around the house and make sure everything was to my satisfaction. many of the windows still had water droplets on them, so I sked if they would dry without any water spots. He said that yes, they would dry with no residue or spot from the filtration system they use that completely purifies the water. I said OK, and was ready to leave it at that. Then Mehr offered to stay there until all the water dried, and I could see that there were no spots or streaks. He stayed an extra 45 minutes, and sure enough, the windows were spotless. I was amazed by his customer service and commitment to his work. Mehr answered the phone, sent me a quote, made my appointment, and did all the work! AWESOME!"

Small jobs welcome

I started as a carpenter for a high end general contractor. I became a good finish carpenter and even better problem solver. Built multiple million dollar homes and adu's. I now run jobs as superintendent for the same company. I currently just got my contractor license and im looking to build my clientele and do smaller remodels and repairs

Window Screen Repair questions, answered by experts

The screen material you choose depends on your needs. Here are some differences to consider:

  • Fiberglass is the least expensive but needs replacing more often.

  • Aluminum suits almost any job and doesn’t stretch as easily as fiberglass.

  • Pet-resistant screens are more expensive than fiberglass or aluminum, but they’re also wind and weather-resistant.

  • Metal screens, like stainless steel, are the most expensive material for rescreening your porch or sunroom. However, they last for years and are golf ball-resistant.

Typically every 10-15 years or whenever they show signs of wear and tear.

There are a number of ways to secure windows. You can add motion detectors or window sensors to detect movement and impact or change the window locks to make them stronger. Some of the ways you can secure windows are much like how you secure a home: closing the curtains at night and setting up security cameras outside so you can monitor your property even in your absence.

Pet-resistant, vinyl-coated polyester is one of the strongest window screen materials available, with some manufacturers touting a 7x increase in strength compared to standard fiberglass screens. Stainless steel security screens are also extremely strong, but they’re not suitable for coastal areas due to the risk of corrosion from salty sea air. If sea air isn’t a concern, stainless steel is extremely tough.

A vacuum with a hose attachment or a lint roller can easily remove dust from your window screen. Pressure washing window screens is another option, but you should make sure you have the appropriate nozzle and pressure setting to avoid doing extensive damage to your window.
