One note that I feel is important: Skilled workers are hard to find and probably harder to keep. I received the quote in August, and James estimated the start date to be a few months later, around October. However, they did not start until November. My roof took longer to complete than was expected due to having to sheet the entire house with plywood and of course in November the weather was a bit of a problem. This meant that anyone scheduled after me would be delayed by a few weeks. James could have rushed the crew and potentially compromised on quality to get done sooner but he didnâ t. Be patient. These guys work tremendously hard, and they don't cut corners. It's impossible for them to know exactly how long the ten jobs ahead of you will take, but waiting is worth it to get a quality roof that you expect to last 30 or 40 years."
