Construction MastersI RARELY write reviews, but I want to explain why I am so BLESSED to have found Construction Masters! I was put in charge of helping my family remodel their home in Encino. There were many things that needed to be done: installing new tile, repairing gates and doors; restoring original bannisters, dry rot, kitchen and 2-bathroom remodels - some major things but also all the odds and ends. The quality of the work, attention to detail, the range of technical expertise was above and beyond. The workers were hard working, efficient, and highly professional, often going above and beyond to give the little extra care to the home. Throughout the whole project it was ***easy to communicate****, easy to schedule, timelines and options were clear. I could be at work and know that everything would take care of everything for me. Deco ConstructionFred at Deco Construction did an amazing job for my parents. Their house was falling apart and they needed someone to help make improvements very badly. Fred and his crew did an amazing job with the balcony, master bathroom, guest bathroom and basement tiles. They transformed these rooms into something fantastic! They pay attention to detail and the outcome is amazing. Fred is also a great listener and can figure out what the clients wants and bring it together to make it look beautiful. Early 2020 we contracted with Elegant Home Improvement to do an extensive home remodeling for us. It took almost a year to complete, considering the project scope and impact of Covid-19. A huge benefit is that Bobby the owner is a very pleasant person to work with. He has a dedicated team that works for and with him. I knew from the start that I will have to co-manage this project with Bobby due to the complexity and the special finishing details I have personally selected. It went like most lengthy remodeling or construction jobs - stressful and required daily supervision. Bobby was there throughout the project - dedicated and ensured the job was fully executed. Everything worked out well - the house looks beautiful and the project was a success. Thank you Bobby and team.

I am currently working this company and although the renovation isn’t done yet, I had to come here and leave this honest review so others can protect themselves from working Moriah. This is our first remodel and we trusted Moriah, specifically a contractor named Eran Saida to not take advantage of us. We needed to get our bathroom and master bedroom remodeled after a flooding. We told Eran everything we wanted done and after seeing the scope of the work, said it wouldn’t be a problem and he could get it done in 3 weeks. (This turned out to be closer to 3 months btw!) In addition there were one or two small projects outside of the bedroom that we mentioned were important to us that we wanted him to address. Specifically a dry wall repair in our laundry room. When we showed it to Eran, he saw the small work required to get the job done and said he’s team would work on it at no additional expense. Eran than presented us with a contract immediately. We wanted more time to look it over but he pressured us into signing right away and that we could later add anything that was missing. This was a massive mistake, and one a more seasoned renovator might spot as a red flag. however we agreed to sign the contract based on our conversations with Eran, who won over our trust. As you can probably guess, those two or three small projects Eran said he would “take care of” never got done. Now, 3 months laster, the project still isn’t complete, and we’re asking for an update on those verbal promises and ALL OF A SUDDEN ERAN HAS NO MEMORY of every promising us anything. Now, he insisting that in order to get those small projects done, it’s going to cost thousands of dollars!!! This is in addition to months of terrible communication! We never know who to talk to. They hardly every updated our online portal or calendar, so we never knew when workers would be arriving or have any expectation as to when the project would be done, AND at one point they “misplaced” our flooring and insisted that we pay another $5,000 for something we already purchased. We had to provide bank statements just to prove we already bought the flooring. It wasn’t until after we provided proof that ALL OF A SUDDEN they found copies of our receipts. And this is the kind consistent shadiness that has completely tarnished our relationship with Moriah. Now I will say, the workers have done a fantastic on with our bedroom and bathroom. This review is in no way a reflection on the quality of the remodel, but it more so is a cautionary tale about the way this company is managed. If you choose to work with Moriah, although I don’t recommend it, GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING. Seriously, EVERYTHING! Never trust anything someone verbally says to you (especially Eran), and don’t depend on the online portal to give you any information other than the money you owe. Like I said, this was our first remodel and unfortunately we had to learn these lessons the hard way. What once was a very exciting renovation had turned into an absolutely nightmare that I don’t wish on anyone. If you’re reading this and are in need of a remodel, I would highly recommend getting quotes from other companies in the area.

the entire process with this company has been VERY UNPROFESSIONAL !!! job cancelled...I asked for an estimate on the installation of a screen door...a quote was given one one day and then several days later I was told that it was an incorrect estimate...new one given...no one ever came out to look at my property and take measurements...I scheduled the installation and on the day of installation the workers came with the wrong size door plus the wrong door and then they told me about additional fees that where never mentioned or put in the estimate...UNACCEPTABLE...you need to do better !!! David

Well, obviously I had to go over my original budget. My total spend on the house was $900,000. Honestly, in my opinion and the opinion of many of my friends who lived through the renovation with me, I believe I got $2 million dollars worth of remodeling for that $900,000. That’s how good Sami is. I love my new home and Sami did not cheap-out on anything. Knowing the situation I was in he worked with me every step of the way. Even doing some things at cost because as he used to say “I want you to feel you got the home you wanted.” If you hire ATM, and I recommend you do or at least give them a chance to bid on your project, I offer the following thoughts about remodeling in general, ATM and Sami: 1. Remodeling a home is as stressful and painful as every one says it is. At least for me I felt that my contractor was “on my side” the whole time. I was a friend to Sami, not his enemy. (I say this because Sami did not do the landscaping and the contractor I hired to do that part treated me like an enemy the minute he got the job. Stole my deposit money and never did the work). With ATM I was more likely to owe them money than the other way around. 2. Things do go wrong on renovations, especially of old homes and especially ones that are in poor shape like mine was. Whenever something went wrong Sami would take my calls and come out right away to see the problem and have it fixed right then and there or the next day. The man stands by his work and unlike other contractors I’ve dealt with who don’t take your phone calls, or play fast and loose with the truth, Sami was a man of his word and always showed up to make things right. This is invaluable in a contractor. 3. Be prepared for the project to take longer than you think. Don’t ask me why, but things are found to not be stable, and have to be fixed before the “decoration” work can be done. Or permits take longer to acquire than you hoped. I often got impatient during mr remodel but I realize now that Sami wanted everything to be perfect and to have permits for everything to avoid trouble for me later when I go to sell the house. 4. Sami is a gentleman through and through. When things looked bleak and my budget had gone up and things weren’t going as fast as I’d like I could always count on Sami to say “I want you to have the house of your dreams. Sometimes that takes time.” Well, Sami delivered on his promise. He’s the real deal. I adore my new home and it looks amazing.
