"I asked Community Electric to check out our electric service panel and advise us about upgrading it. Harut looked at the system and explained what was involved in simply replacing the panel with a new 100amp panel and upgrading it to handle more circuits. He pointed out several factors we never considered. He also gave me ballpark estimates for each option that seemed very reasonable. I appreciated his honesty and clarity. While we ultimately decided not to do anything at the moment, I would not hesitate calling him to do any electrical work I may need in the future. Knowing a good electrician is invaluable when you need one and I met one today."

"Our house is over 30 years old and the electrical panel was in questionable state after various contractors over the years had accessed it for their projects. For safety and security reasons, we had Rooster Electric upgrade the electrical panel. The electrician needed to cut the house siding to install the new panel and did so expertly, providing new trim and caulking. The job looks great and we feel safer now that the panel is up to specs. Thank you, Rooster Electric, for walking us through the project and doing excellent work. Weâ re so tired of contractors taking the quick and easy route to get their job done rather than providing good, respectable customer service. Youâ ll get our recommendation whenever someone asks if we know a good and trustworthy electrical company. L&N in Fair Oaks"

Electrical questions, answered by experts

In Granite Bay, kitchens and bathrooms frequently require new GFCI outlets or dedicated circuits for modern appliances. Electrical panels in homes built before the 2000s may need upgrades to handle today’s power demands. Outdoor living spaces, including patios and pool areas, often need updated wiring or lighting. Garages and home offices are also common spots for additional circuits or improved home wiring.

Helpful?

In Granite Bay, the timeline for electrical projects depends on complexity. Simple tasks like installing outlets or light fixtures are often finished in a few hours, while panel upgrades or home wiring projects can take a full day or longer. Larger jobs, such as whole-home rewiring, may span several days. Permit reviews and utility coordination can add time, especially during peak construction periods.

Helpful?

Completing electrical projects in Granite Bay offers immediate peace of mind by improving safety and ensuring your home meets current code standards. Over time, upgrades like panel replacements or adding circuits can boost energy efficiency and support new technologies. These improvements also increase property value and make your home more attractive to buyers who prioritize modern electrical systems and smart home features.

Helpful?

In Granite Bay, homeowners often encounter unexpected costs such as permit and inspection fees, code-required panel upgrades, or additional AFCI breaker installations. Sometimes, opening walls reveals outdated wiring or the need for asbestos testing in older homes. You may also face expenses for drywall repairs, attic access, or premium labor rates, especially if you hire an electrical contractor during busy seasons.

Helpful?

For electrical maintenance in Granite Bay, keep a non-contact voltage tester, digital multimeter, wire strippers, and insulated screwdrivers. Stock up on GFCI outlets, wire connectors, and electrical tape. With the area’s seasonal storms, weatherproof covers for outdoor outlets and surge protectors are wise. Having a portable generator and heavy-duty extension cords is also helpful for power outages or emergency repairs.
