"I wanted a 20x25 concert patio. Luis was the first to respond to my request and he was also the most reasonable priced. Luis was really easy to work and great at communicating. The concrete patio was beautiful. Highly recommend."

Customers say: Quality work

"We are very happy with the results, We were just going to add another slab to the existing patio but after discussing the project with Clint we decided to replace the existing patio with a new larger version. We even made another addition during the job on top of that addition, then Clint added a bit more at no extra cost!"

"I am very happy with the work done by Cannon General Contracting. They showed up when they said they would, did excellent work and kept us informed throughout the project. Everything was completed on time and with great care. It’s hard to find contractors you can truly trust and Scott and his team are definitely one of them! I highly recommend them."

"Derek and his crew were wonderful to work with and were very professional in all aspects of the job. He paid close attention to the design I wanted and was able to give achieve the exact look I had in mind. He has extensive landscape knowledge and experience, and it really showed throughout the total project. He and his crew worked through the terrible summer heat to complete the job on time. He has returned several times as part of his follow-up making certain everything is doing fine. I will be hiring him to do the backyard early next year."

Patios questions, answered by experts

A sunroom may count toward your home's total square footage or living space if it meets certain conditions, which can vary by local regulations. Generally, for a sunroom to be included, it must be fully enclosed, properly insulated, and equipped with electrical access and a heating and cooling (HVAC) system, similar to a four-season room. It should also meet the same construction standards as the rest of the house. Three-season sunrooms that function more like enclosed porches typically do not count toward the total square footage and are considered exterior living space.

Yes, you can build a sunroom addition to your home despite living in a cold climate. Make sure to use high-quality insulation and windows and to supplement with sufficient heating from your HVAC system. The windows in the sunroom allow enough natural light into the room to help heat it most times without having to use the furnace. Even a small electric fireplace can heat the sunroom well enough.

A solarium is a luxury addition to a home and can be an excellent breakfast area or reading space, but that doesn't mean there aren't disadvantages. For one, since the room is made of glass it can look dirty very quickly. Another disadvantage is solariums are notoriously hard to balance temperature and will most likely significantly increase your heating and air conditioning bill. Unlike a greenhouse addition to a house, a solarium won’t help you grow as many plants.

Yes, enclosing a patio to create a sunroom or three-season room is often a good idea that adds value to your home. This project increases your home's usable square footage and creates a versatile space for relaxing or entertaining that is filled with natural light and can be used in various weather conditions. Homeowners may see an average return on investment (ROI) of around 70%. The final value added will depend on factors such as the quality of the materials, the level of finish, and the amount of yard space that remains after the enclosure.

Creating a screen room is one of the most cost-effective ways to enclose a patio so you can still use it in the winter. Most screen rooms aren’t insulated, so you’ll need to wrap up warm or use patio heaters in winter. Also, be aware they might not hold up well if you live in a location where heavy snow is common.
