"Luke, the owner is amazing! Very honest, knowledgeable, professional and proficient! My family had to ic mold so bad in our home for a very long time. We were all getting sick, I was the worst that the mold was attacking. We did not know why we were getting sick except for the reason perhaps the weather this year and the allergies. We started seeing the mold coming out in our bathrooms and up on the ceilings. That was an indicator we might be getting sick from the mold. A family friend of ours found this amazing company and I reached out. Luke, was so knowledgeable when I spoke with him on the phone. He came out to our home and ran 2 air tests and a swab test!!! He emailed us the results and called me to explain the results and let us know how BAD it really was!! It turned out it was not just the mold that was visible but the mold that we could not see and that we were breathing!! We then hired him to come and treat the mold!! I can honestly say that the mold is gone!! We have no more fear of living in our home and breathing toxic mold!! We are all feeling much better now! No more horrible coughs, running noses, headaches, fatigue feeling!!! I can not speak highly enough of this company!!! I recommend this company to anyone who knows they have mold or is in doubt and curious to have an inspection or run some tests in their home to be proactive! They did such a thorough job from testing, to treating and cleaning out home!!!"

"The home inspector had completed the report for previous buyers that backed out. We hired him to recheck the property to see if issues were repaired as the homeowners told us they did repair most things on his report. Victor was very thorough in his report and the walk through. He had the report ready 10 minutes after the walkthrough. With his report we will be able to go back to the sellers and ask for a few more repairs. He also gave us a new home owner guide which has a lot of useful information for this older home that we can use a reference. I will use victor again in the future for mold inspections or home inspections!"

Mold Testing and Remediation questions, answered by experts

Mold grows in areas with humidity levels above 60%, but ideal conditions for mold growth occur when humidity is between 70% and 90%, especially in poorly ventilated areas. To prevent mold growth, aim to maintain indoor humidity levels between 30% and 50% using dehumidifiers, proper ventilation, and temperature control. Regularly check your home's humidity with a hygrometer to help you monitor and avoid conditions conducive to mold.

There are two types of mold symptoms in the home: visible mold and unexplained health issues. If you have allergies out-of-season, brain fog with no other obvious cause, constant congestion, and other such symptoms, you may have a mold problem. Oftentimes you can smell mold in your home, even if you can’t see it.

While the air inside your home should have some moisture—the ideal humidity level is between 30% and 50%—too much moisture can lead to issues. Some ways to tell if there’s too much moisture in your home include condensation inside your windows, mildew growth in the bathroom or mold on surfaces, peeling paint, or an uptick in allergy symptoms.

Toxic mold doesn't have a specific color; instead, toxicity depends on the type of mold and the mycotoxins it produces. Stachybotrys chartarum (also known as black mold) is notorious for its potential toxicity. However, not all molds appearing black are Stachybotrys chartarum. Mold species that appear in various colors, such as green, gray, brown, or black, can also produce mycotoxins. Therefore, it's essential to focus on identifying the type of mold through professional testing rather than relying solely on color to determine its toxicity.

Most of the health problems associated with exposure to fiberglass insulation are short-term in nature. You may suffer from minor and temporary skin or eye irritation if you come into contact with it, and you may experience some sneezing, coughing, or breathing issues if you inhale fiberglass. Those with asthma and allergies may suffer more and longer. Though fiberglass was once a suspected carcinogen, there’s now no good evidence that exposure to fiberglass can cause lung cancer.
