"The crew is really hardworking. They did a great job stripping off the old shingle siding and increasing insulation and installing new cementatious siding. This process isnt cheap, but I got a good price for the value of the work. They cleaned up every night and hauled everything away."

"Roman from RK Siding was incredible! He and his crew did an outstanding job preping and installing James Hardie Cement board siding on our home in Pioneer! They worked along side and together with the decking crew that also did an amazing job! I highly recommend RK Siding to help with all of your Siding installation needs! Very professional and competitivly priced quote! Roman and both crews worked incredible hard and are true craftsmen! We highly recommend using RK Siding. RK Siding can also help with both deck replacement and painting quotes. All the teams worked together so well to create our newly Improved home!"

"Before I hired NAC Renovations, I read a read a review about NAC and the person who reviewed NAC said he would definitely hire NAC again, and after my project last year I'd definitely do the same! More than likely though I'm not going to ever have to have the siding replaced on my home again so Steven's work will outlast me for a long time to come, plus Steven is just a really likeable man. A siding replacement/restoration project is a high dollar project, and I had several bids to do the project last year and I really feel very lucky to have gotten a bid and had NAC do my project, I am very happy with the way NAC did my siding project in all aspects of the project!"

Siding questions, answered by experts

Hail as small as 3/4 inch (about the size of a penny) can cause damage to your siding. When hail reaches 1 inch in size, you can expect to see more cracks, chips, and holes, and hail that’s 1 and 1/4 to 1 and 1/2 inches around will cause significant damage. If you see hail that’s 1 and 1/2 inches to 2 inches or more in size, the damage is likely to be extensive and possibly even dangerous.

Not always. The answer depends on your specific vinyl siding product. While some manufacturers advise against pressure washing, others recommend pressure washing as long as pressure is kept below a certain threshold.

The average cost to replace siding is $10,500, but you should expect to pay an average of $12,000 to install new siding over stucco. The additional cost goes toward assessing the old stucco for damage, any necessary repairs before the new siding goes up, and the materials and labor required to install furring strips over the stucco to attach the new material. Even with this additional cost, installing siding over stucco is often more affordable than removing the stucco and starting over.

The recommended PSI (pounds per square inch) for cleaning vinyl siding can vary, so it's best to consult the manufacturer's guidelines. Generally, vinyl siding can handle high pressure, from 2,500 to 3,500 PSI. For comparison, more delicate materials like wood and aluminum siding should not face more than 1,500 PSI. To safely disperse the pressure on vinyl, use a tip with a wider spray span, such as a green (25-degree) or yellow (15-degree) nozzle. For routine cleaning of light dirt, a garden hose with a spray nozzle may be sufficient. Always exercise caution to avoid using excessive pressure that could damage the siding.

A square of siding refers to 100 square feet of siding materials. Rather than sell by the individual square foot, manufacturers typically sell siding materials by the square. For instance, if you need 105 square feet of siding but the material is sold in squares, you’ll need to purchase two squares (200 square feet).
