"Fabian was fantastic. He contacted me right away and we were able to set an appointment within a few days. On the appointment day he let me know he was running 5 minutes late which was over the top very courteous and shows he really cares about his customers. He was very professional, respectful, and efficient. I highly recommend him for all your electrical needs."

"I had a great experience with this company installing my Tesla charger. They were quick, affordable, respectful, and very kind throughout the entire process. Everything was explained clearly, the work was done efficiently, and the installation looks great. It’s refreshing to work with a small business that is both economical and genuinely professional. I highly recommend them."

Customers say: Quality work

"Barry was outstanding from start to finish. He was the first to provide an estimate, the most reasonably priced, and inspired the most confidence of all the contractor estimators I talked to. Not only that, but was completely accommodating and receptive to all my special requests and upgrades. Most of all, he is a super nice guy and does all the work himself. You don't have to pay the overhead of a big operation or worry who will do the work - your money goes straight to the man and the materials. The job was started on time and finished in 5 hours for a Nema 14-50 garage outlet (a specialty of his) with 6 AWG wire and a Hubbel industrial outlet. Best of all, Barry knows all the codes and submits all the paperwork to the city/county for permitted installations. Highly recommend!"

"We had old wiring to a ceiling fixture that had lost its insulation. This found during new ceiling install. Harut was able to replace the wiring at the box and put our light up in no time. He also came back an hour later when I found another fixture hanging down from the ceiling. I didn’t realize how late it had gotten but he didn’t hesitate to return and fixed the additional issue in a jiffy. There was good communication, returned calls, etc during our entire encounter with Community and we’ll call them in the future if we have an issue or a project."

Ev Charger Installer questions, answered by experts

Yes, you should get a quote or an estimate from an electrician. Most electricians offer free estimates or quotes. When getting quotes, do your research and verify each electrician’s license. Get quotes from three different electricians to compare. If the prices or items listed appear different on the quotes, ask the electrician to clarify. Learning as much as you can about the electrical work you want done will help you get the most accurate estimate.

Hire an electrician the same way you would an employee. Ask questions and look for a good fit. Streamline the process by using these questions to ask an electrician. It's also common to ask for a quote in writing. Don’t forget to provide all the project details to ensure there are no surprises or opportunities for added fees.

Yes, electricians must be licensed, certified, and in most cases, insured. Licensing requirements vary by state and local municipality, but most U.S. municipalities require electricians to hold an electrical contractor’s license. It's always a good practice to confirm requirements with your local municipality. Even if licensing is not required in your area, hiring a licensed and experienced electrician often leads to a better end result.

A license is a legal requirement to operate a business and is necessary for pulling project permits. Certifications, on the other hand, are typically voluntary and demonstrate a certain level of expertise. In some cases, a certified electrician may send an apprentice or journeyman to perform the work, but they must operate under a primary electrician who holds the proper license.

Before hiring, you should verify the electrician's license, insurance coverage, and any third-party certifications. You can use Angi’s contractor licensing search to confirm a pro's license status. Additionally, businesses with the “Angi Approved” badge on our platform meet strict criteria, including having the required state and local licenses, passing a background check, and maintaining a high average rating.

Upgrading your electrical system can save you money on your monthly utility bills by powering your home more efficiently. Electrification nonprofit Rewiring America estimates that a household could save $1,800 per year on energy bills by upgrading to a modern electric heat pump, switching to a heat pump for their water, installing solar panels on the roof, and converting to an electric vehicle.

You can plug your electric car into a regular 120-volt household outlet only if you’re using a Level 1 charger. This method is slower and may take several days to fully charge your EV. For faster charging, you’ll need a Level 2 charger, which requires a 220- or 240-volt outlet.
