"Was to be an extensive concrete ramp & steps with brick inlay and bordered by brick retaining walls. Very professional start with large competent crew, heavy machinery. Concrete was poured & paid for 7/19/24 with restart planned in 4+ days. Then nothing. 8/2 "Truck problems". 8/6 still no cleanup, no progress or plan forward. Front walkway/door inaccessible. 8/10 prelim notice from unpaid concrete supplier. Contractor finally shows up again - bricklayer quit, can't find another or a subcontractor. 9/6 release from concrete supplier and an employee sent to do some cleanup. Agree to close out contract for $16,000 paid with no retaining walls, slots in ramps for inlay brick still needing grinding to proper depth, no banister on steps, major cleanup undone."
