"Andy and his helper were efficient and knowledgeable and meticulous in their workmanship. We are extremely happy with the patio cover that they built and would highly recommend them."
When we started looking into getting a patio cover we got bids from three different companies. We choose to go with PatioCrew. Now we have a big beautiful insulated patio cover and we love it. Warren and the crew were all really nice and polite to work with. They specialize in patio covers and it shows. They got the permit from the city for us and had no problem hooking up lights and fans under the cover. The workmanship and quality is great, and we would highly recommend them to anyone!
"Thank you Al, Steve and Michael Al & Steve came to give me an estimate for a patio/porch cover in front of my house. I wanted it to look like it was part of the house, and I wanted to have a high sealing. My house is built with an A frame front, so if it was put just under the bottom of the eve, it would be just above the window, which was too low. Al & Steve were wonderful to work with. They met with me at least 3 times before the patio cover was scheduled to be installed. They answered all my questions and instilled confidence that they could make it happen they way I would like it to look. Steve advised that Michael Kinsman would be installing the cover. Michael was on time and very professional. Instead of cutting off a portion of the eve, Michael incorporated the eve into the patio cover and it looks really great. He made the whole look of the patio cover seem to be a part of the house. Very talented I would say. He was also a great person to work with. He advised me on what switches to install for the fan (yes, they installed the fan for free. That was very impressive and appreciated.) I love my new front porch and it was all due to these people. I would recommend them to anyone. Thanks so much!"

"I couldn’t be happier with the outcome of my patio cover. If I need more cover’s, he’s the one I will hire. I highly recommend him for the job you need done. He takes pride in his work installing Patio Covers. Thank you Joe. And on another note I don’t want to leave his helper out . Those two working together are like 2 peas in a pod. Finding good help to work together is a blessing"
"I called them to repair our awning after it stopped working about a week ago. At first, they said my motor stopped working due to wind damage and, therefore, the warranty wouldn't be covered. But after sending 3 different teams to my house, they were honest they couldn't 100% determine it was wind damage. Therefore they honored my warranty and replaced the motor for free. I'm very impressed with how they handled this because they are a small company and this was a big cost for them to incur. I will definitely continue to use them in the future as they always do a good job and they are honorable people."
"Not as well as I hoped. This is my second metal patio cover. The previous cover was done by another contractor whose professionalism and quality were stellar. Tom's was less so by contrast. The bid did not specify what was to be done with the excavated footing soil. As such I was left to dispose of soil. My bad, I should have addressed it. However, I cannot help but feel a professional company would have brought up my lack of foresight. Tom's company seems to sell the job out to an installer. This created a communication issue between the 3 of us. The installer was also hurried. Workmanship could also have been better, especially compared to my other cover. I'm not talking about materials. Specifically, cuts, measurements, and installation techniques."

It’s not a good idea to allow heavy rain to fall on your awning, as puddling can occur and overload the awning. Your awning should be able to handle a light rain, though you should allow it to dry out before retracting it or open it to dry as soon as the rain stops. As always, consult manufacturer guidelines for using and caring for your awning.
The least expensive way to enclose a porch is with screens. These protect the room by preventing insects from entering and, if you live in a warm climate, provide excellent airflow during hot summer months. Screens cost far less than any other alternative, so if you are against getting permits, spending too much, or enclosing your porch in walls or glass, screens are the best choice.
Yes, you can install an awning yourself, and it can be an excellent DIY project with immediate benefits. This is most feasible for smaller, pre-assembled units. However, awnings are often heavy and awkward for one person to handle, so you should always have at least one helper. If you have difficulty lifting heavy objects, professional installation is recommended to ensure proper mounting and durability.
Besides the type of awning, you’ll need to choose the type of cover. Your awning installation professional will review your options with you, including availability and costs. The types of covers you can choose from include:
Wood, which is durable but can be damaged easily by rainwater and fire
Cotton offers flexibility, weatherproofing, and easy cleaning
Canvas is highly durable and is a good choice for retractable awnings
Metal is sturdy but is prone to rust
Polyester is easy to clean and is a more breathable option
Polycarbonate is highly resistant to UV rays and is difficult to damage
Awnings can be a serious investment for homeowners, particularly if it features a motorized and retractable design. Protect the exterior of your home by choosing a reliable and reputable contractor. Do some research ahead of time to get an idea of the potential contractor’s strengths and weaknesses. Don’t hesitate to give them a call to discuss specifics.
