"This company came in a updated our 40-year old home insulation with new R-38 batting. We were impressed how much attention to detail the company has for removing old insulation, clean-up, disinfection, and installing new insulation. "We had an inspection and we had to replace the insulation in the attic. We were able to get a good deal from this company after we reached them via a referral. 
The work that they did was very good and professional. there were several employees at the house for the 2 days work that they did. We do recommend this company for any insulation replacement that you may need.

One of the disadvantages of soffit vents is they can bleed warm air from the attic during winter, resulting in slightly higher energy bills and a colder house. Canned spray foam has an R-value of R-3.7 per inch. However, it’s not great for use as insulation. Also known as single-component spray foam, it doesn’t expand as much as two-part types that work for insulating the whole house. Save the canned foam for gaps around doors and windows.

Rigid foam board insulation is one of the safest insulation materials for basement walls. The panels offer a moisture barrier to prevent mold and mildew build-up. At the same time, this material is also fire-resistant, so you don’t have to worry as much about a fire breaking out as you would with spray foam insulation. 

We do not recommend fiberglass insulation for soundproofing purposes, especially if you are working on a room that’s part of your living space. Fiberglass insulation is dangerous, and the installation process is hazardous. It is also harmful to the environment. When there are so many newer, healthier non-fiberglass alternatives in the market, the lower cost of fiberglass insulation simply doesn’t justify the harm and danger it poses.

The thickness of floor insulation will depend on the R-value you plan to achieve. R-value varies on the type of material as well as its thickness and density. Insulation materials with low R-values can be layered to match the value of denser materials. As long as your floor insulation is packed tightly, seals the area from drafts, and doesn’t prevent ventilation, it can be as thick (or thin) as you need.
