I am delighted to submit this heartfelt review in praise and commendation of Tony and Mary Ellen Ciaramaglia, owners of TME Construction Inc. In anticipation of the potential ravages of "El Nino", six weeks ago I purchased a full coverage flood insurance policy from my insurance company. However, I neglected to consider the feasibility of placing sandbags strategically around the house to keep the onrush of water at bay from what was to be unpredictable and recurrent torrential rainstorms. So here I was alone and frightened and in the midst of an extremely heavy rainfall which was flooding my back patio and making its way toward the house; the day before the rainwater had partially flooded the garage from a side patio. I hadn't envisioned just how treacherous this storm could be .Fortunately, as a member of Angie's List, I called for a referral listing of recommended businesses to contact. I was acutely aware that precisely because of this bad weather, it would be difficult if not impossible to find someone who could help me out. I will confidently say at the outset: I couldn't have picked more knowledgeable, responsive, and professional business owners to have opted to call. Tony very promptly returned my phone call, immediately concerned about and appropriately focused on which fire department in our community would have enough sandbags on hand for distribution. It is noteworthy that his organization and time management skills are exemplary; he was able to quickly and keenly assess what needed to be done. Keep in mind that loading the sandbags on the truck was not an easy job, especially in this inclement weather. It was necessary for Tony and his co-worker to fill twenty bags with sand - they were not pre-filled. In the interim I called Mary, who with warmth and friendliness, updated me as to the progress of the sandbags at the fire station. Once here Tony checked the perimeter of the house, explaining to me the logic of the placement of the sandbags and with efficiency put them against the house on the back patio. I feel very fortunate, pleased and grateful that Tony had been the one I chose today to help me out. It is evident that both Tony and Mary have the right kind of experience and know-how that will serve me well for all of my future home maintenance, improvement, and construction needs. Without question I know I will be able to rely on their judgment and expertise; they are a complement to one another. As a special kindness to me as a senior citizen, Tony would not accept any money for all that he had done for me today. This wonderful gesture brings tears to my eyes, reaffirming that he and Mary are people of honor and integrity; it will be a pleasure doing business with them in the years to come.
