"Found Sentri on Angi. Jeanette and Violet were very pleasant and efficient in getting a contractor to me in the time frame needed. The contractor was excellent and the roof looks great! I would definitely work with them again if I had additional projects."

Ive repaired ac units, dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, you name it ive fixed it. I can paint very well and install vinyl plank flooring. I can promise that every job I do I treat like a job for my own home. Ill never accept a job Im not experienced or able to finish timely and proudly. I have completely tore down and replanted the front yard like a pro. Ill dig or move dirt. Ive fixed the main sewer line in a home out to the street. Costs vary by repair scope, materials needed, and labor, with average repairs ranging from $300 to $1,000, contingent on roof size.

The cost to install a drip edge on an existing roof runs about $1 to $3 per linear foot, which comes out to between $150 and $1,000, with an average cost of $575. These are just averages; the total project price can vary depending on the type of drip edge chosen and whether you hire a professional for the installation. Factors like roof size, complexity, and labor rates also play a role in determining the final cost.

Homeowners insurance sometimes covers roof decking, but it depends on the cause of damage and whether the decking was properly installed. If the roof decking was damaged by a severe storm, then it will likely be covered. Insurance may also pay for roof decking work if building codes require it. However, insurance won’t cover damage caused by normal wear and tear or poor maintenance practices.

The most common slope range for roofs on houses in snowy areas is between 4/12 and 6/12, or 50%. A roof with a slope of less than 10%, or roughly a 2/12 pitch, won’t be effective at shedding snow. However, roofs that are too steep can allow large amounts of snow to build up and fall all at once, creating a hazard for those on the ground.

Hail damage is bad for a roof because it can leave the roof vulnerable to the elements. Hail may leave more than dents or scratches behind. It can actually cause the shingles to crack, which means water can leak into your home from the roof. Hail can also wear down the granules on the shingles. Without these granules, the shingles are weaker and more vulnerable to the elements, particularly wind. If the hailstorm is accompanied by high winds, it may take your shingles with it.
