Small jobs welcome

"I had a really good experience with Alicia and Juan. We had a previously existing patio structure in our back patio, and wanted to add a similar structure to a new area in our larger front yard. They nailed it; same materials, including a rusted patina corrugated roof, matched the stain and design. If you didn't know better you would think the two were put up by the same crew at the same time. Love it. Also, they worked very quickly and it was priced very reasonably compared to other estimates we received. Alicia and Juan were super attentive to what we wanted, asked the right questions, and worked within our schedule. We only had one small cosmetic issue, and when we mentioned it, Juan came out right away and took care of it- even AFTER they had got final payment. Super happy. Would use the again, and will refer them if we have the opportunity."

The job was done in less than 2 weeks, Communication was great, they cared about the backyard and plants and we are so happy itâ s all ready just before summer. Highly recommended!!"

Pole Barn Builders questions, answered by experts

Whether building a playground or installing a pre-made one is more affordable depends on the materials of each. In most cases, it’s more affordable to build a wooden playground than it is to buy one and have it professionally installed, but it might be less expensive to invest in a pre-made plastic playground, even if you pay a professional to install it. Wooden playgrounds tend to last longer, but as children age, they will become less valuable. Overall, it may be most affordable to have a pro install a pre-made plastic playground.

While prices fluctuate because of increased demand, fewer supplies, and engineering time, OSB generally remains more affordable than plywood at $1 to $2.40 per square foot compared to the $4.50 to $10 for plywood. Cost is only one factor you should consider when deciding between OSB and plywood.

If you can’t repair and repurpose your shed, it might be possible to sell it, donate it, or salvage parts rather than them just ending up in a landfill. Professional junk removal services will advise you on what can and will be recycled. You may also want to keep some parts to upcycle them for other projects around your home. Turning planks from your memory-filled wooden shed into a coffee table or bed headboard is good for the environment and the soul.

The steep slope of an A-frame roof withstands high winds, heavy rain, and heavy snowfall, making them popular all over the world. A-frames also offer simple, quick construction. Finally, an A-frame typically has large windows on the non-roof sides to let in a maximum amount of natural light. Consequently, they are often an affordable building solution for the right homeowner and location.

Yes, barn doors can be too heavy, although the limitation is usually imposed by the mounting hardware you buy and not your home’s framing, unless you’re building an unusually wide door. To keep the weight down, you can opt for 1-by material rather than 2-by material, and choose a softwood like pine rather than a hardwood like maple or oak. Check the weight limits on your mounting hardware, and always attach your door track to studs rather than to drywall anchors.
