"As a real estate broker, I needed a test on a property that had previously had mold remediation but I wanted to be absolutely sure my clients would be safe living there. Tracy was prompt, professional and kept the tight schedule I needed to get the results back before we closed on the property. I will definitely use their services again."

"Russ was amazing to work with. He was understanding of the terrible situation we were in and willing to listen, consult, and then offer his expertise to come up with the best solution. Our project was mold remediation. He left the house clean and the mold removal was verified by environmental testing. I highly recommend White Mountain Restoration for their great work, honesty, and expertise. Thank you Russ!"

"My tenant let a leak go for six months which created a bad mold issue along with major damage. These guys were higher in price for the mold abatement but they were worth it! They also had a sister company who did the remodel (cabinets, granite paint, grouting, etc.). Between AZ Restoration and Patterson Remodeling the kitchen was brought back to new and looks amazing."

"Cameron responded within minutes of submitting my inquiry. He & Eric and their whole crew were professional and quick to come begin the mold removal & drying the water damage in our house. The whole process took 6 days and they were great at keeping us updated and checking in at our convenience. As an additional sign of their courtesy, we have a dog undergoing medical treatment and needed to be kept calm. Eric & Cameron were courteous enough to call us to notify they had arrived instead of ringing the doorbell and exciting the dog. They are the example of excellent customer service! I will definitely be recommending them."

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), hazardous waste is generally classified into four main categories:

1. Characteristic Wastes: These exhibit at least one of four hazardous traits: ignitability (flammable, like gasoline), corrosivity (can rust or decompose materials, like car batteries), reactivity (unstable and can explode, like aerosol cans), or toxicity (harmful when ingested, like lead-based paint).

2. Listed Wastes: These are specific wastes from manufacturing and industrial processes that the EPA has officially designated as hazardous. They include byproducts from processes that use solvents, pesticides, and other chemicals.

3. Universal Wastes: These are commonly generated hazardous items that are subject to streamlined regulations. Examples include batteries, pesticides, mercury-containing equipment (e.g., bulbs), and some lamps.

4. Mixed Wastes: This category includes waste that contains both hazardous and radioactive components, making it subject to regulation by both the EPA and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

While water in your basement is unlikely to make you sick unless it’s coming from a sewage backup, mold is likely to start to grow in wet areas within 24 hours, and mold can make you sick. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), inhaling mold spores can cause allergy symptoms, including runny nose, itchy eyes, difficulty breathing, wheezing, and itchy skin. Individuals with pre-existing respiratory issues like asthma and immunocompromised individuals are at an elevated risk of symptoms when inhaling mold spores.

In most cases, cloudy tap water is safe to drink, as the cause is often harmless air bubbles. A simple test is to let a glass of water sit for a few minutes; if the cloudiness dissipates, it was likely just trapped air. However, you cannot be certain of the water's safety without knowing the cause or performing a water test. If the cloudiness is persistent, comes with yellow or brown discoloration, or is accompanied by plumbing issues, it may pose a health risk. In such cases, it is best to call a local plumber to find the cause.

Yes, exposure to fiberglass insulation can cause harm to your skin and eyes. However, this typically refers to the fiberglass insulation that is mostly used in walls and attics. Fiberglass doors don’t pose risks for fiberglass exposure because they're fully encased in polymer cladding.

The gasket and drum of a washing machine are ideal spots for mold to grow. They are dark, warm, and humid, conditions that mold thrives in. The products you use to wash your clothing, such as fabric softener and detergent, can also encourage growth by giving the mold a food source.
