JSL Landscape LLCJSL Landscape has done several other homes in our neighborhood and we, together with our other neighbors, have been thrilled with the results. In the case of our two projects, both the BBQ Island and more recently the patios redesign, the work was completed in a timely and efficient manner and within the terms of the contracted proposals. Our most recent patios redesign involved tearing up old pavers and breaking up an old cement patio underneath, before the new layout could be completed. This was a major job that was largely completed within a couple of weeks. JSL Landcape provides very detailed, thoughtful and professional proposals that include detailed design drawings. John Leslie himself is a very creative and capable landscape designer who in our experience exercises excellent judgement. He had a very good knowledge of plants and plant usage, paver design and overall hardscape/softscape rations and transitions. JSL is a pleasure to work with and John goes out of his way to understand the wishes and tastes of his clients. He also steers people away from ideas he knows they will not like, once he understand a clients goals. After working with him we are at a point of confidence where we have often told John to use his own judgement when certain specific questions have risen that we did not have specific answers for. We appreciated this as it reduced disruption and met our timing needs to have the project done before guests arrived. John's crews are always polite, efficient, and clean up after themselves. We have had JSL do other projects for us and he always offers alternatives that can meet project goals at different price points. I personally appreciate that he listens to us and understands our vision and then gives us alternatives to achieve it. CM Construction IncI called CM for an estimate. Caleb showed up when he said he would (no small accomplishment for a general contractor), and listened carefully when I explained what I needed. We walked around the site and he noticed some additional things (drainage toward house in two areas) that needed attention. He asked me questions to be sure he understood what sort of look I wanted in the end. He also talked about cheaper options and discussed the pros and cons of those. He worked up a rough estimate on the spot, and called me later to confirm it. His estimate was higher than the other estimates by a little bit, but I chose CM because he clearly understood what I wanted where the others were not very engaged with the details. Two weeks later Caleb showed up with his crew and accomplished all the work in 3 days. His operation was efficient and they seemed focused on quality. Caleb asked me some questions when the work was underway, making sure that he was doing what I wanted and that I'd be happy with the outcome. I was very happy with the finished job. The people of Tintas Granite were simply amazing. Everyone that I met were super professional. They took a lot of time explaining some of our options and helped us decide. The results are outstanding and we are very happy with the job. A test for this company came at the end of the job and they passed with flying colors. I gave them all A's because they deserve it. The workers that came to our house were on time, very professional, and cleaned up before they left. Bill, the owner, is one of the nicest people I know. His office is very welcoming with lots of smiles.

When a few of the plants didn’t survive, John honored his warranty and replaced them. I often receive compliments from our neighbors, who remember how horrific the landscaping was previously. I sent several requests for guidance in making my order for several tons of rock to finish cover of my backyard. This business is very low tech, meaning email is challenging. I understand that some businesses don't need this to function, and they are not going out if business any time soon. Still, after several weeks of struggle to confirm the type and size of rock I need to match my existing cover, I make my order. Of course when the rock is delivered it is two-three times too big. I can deal with it, I have to; it's a 25 ton problem, not easy to move around. When I tried to figure things out with the company I eventually received a dismissive email, saying I "got what I ordered." My fault for ordering or seeking help from people that just want your dime and a goodbye.

Background. This was our first project since the construction of the house in 10 years. We researched the options of wood and metal buildings. The cost of each was about the same. However, the metal building was a quicker and durable option.
Contractor Choice. We chose the contractor due to the price, the interview with the owner, their website, and a testimonial; we visited a previous job site where they did a similar project. In general, the owner was more responsive and professional than the other contractors. The other companies seem less professional and some were just odd. The local contractor business in our area is competitive but not cheap.
Foundation. Overall, the survey, land clearing, and laying the A/B aggregate went well. We chose to hire an additional contractor to clear more land to expedite their work and for other projects. Foundation framing and cement work went according plan. During this phase, we were very much involved with their work since we need to integrate our other requirements into the foundation. We needed to run water and power conduits into the foundation before the pouring of the concrete. In addition, we prepared a portion of the foundation to support an in ground carlift. All these actions required us to coordinate closely with the construction team. Though our special modifications may have been a deviation from their standard work, they were more than willing to work with us to accommodate each special request and let us do the portions of the work we intended to do ourselves. In addition, we were welcome to ask questions and review the work daily to ensure that there were no misunderstandings or incorrect expectations. We enjoyed working with both the owner Caleb and his site lead, Calvin.
Erection. We elected to wait 30 days to begin the erection after the pouring of foundation. The erection went without any major incident. Caleb's crew performed all of the work for this portion, and did so at remarkable speed.
Follow-up. We required a follow up visit to fix one of the overhead roll up garage doors that came off its track. The contractor responded within a reasonable time and completed the work without issue.
Overall, we were very satisfied with the entire experience, from bid through construction to completion. We recommend you consider this vendor for your next construction project.

Nothing but a positive experience from Aaron Trail. Very easy to communicate with. Very prompt, kept all appointments. The new paint looks amazing and just the colors we selected. All stucco repairs that were made were blended so well, there is no way to tell where the original issues were! I already have recommended them to friends and family, I will continue to do so. Very happy with Aaron Trail!
