JSL Landscape LLC

We are very happy with the landscaping design which was proposed and implemented. John had wonderful ideas and suggestions, but was attentive to my preferences. When a few of the plants didn’t survive, John honored his warranty and replaced them. I often receive compliments from our neighbors, who remember how horrific the landscaping was previously. A huge thanks to John and his crew!

Project progressed as stated in the contract and in a timely manner. Additional expenses not incurred. The entire project including concerns and suggestions were addressed, followed up closely, and in detail by the company owner.

It went great! John listens to what you like and don't like. He then comes up with a plan, listening to your comments, and tweaking as necessary. He has a great eye for design, and easy to work with.

We obtained JSL after a recommendation from our neighbor who did similar work. She told us his estimates were below others and his work was excellent, which we could see by looking at her driveway. Although we were away from our  house for JSL's work, we were kept abreast of his work via emails with photos as work progressed. There was a miscommunication we had about one small area which was immediately rectified...again, while we were not there. I found John Leslie (JSL) to be a very forthright and honest man. If he cannot do what is requested, he will tell you so and maybe recommend someone who could do the work. My wife and I are very satisfied with him, would use him again, and highly recommend him.

JSL Landscape has done several other homes in our neighborhood and we, together with our other neighbors, have been thrilled with the results. In the case of our two projects, both the BBQ Island and more recently the patios redesign, the work was completed in a timely and efficient manner and within the terms of the contracted proposals.  Our most recent patios redesign involved tearing up old pavers and breaking up an old cement patio underneath, before the new layout could be completed. This was a major job that was largely completed within a couple of weeks.

JSL Landcape provides very detailed, thoughtful and professional proposals that include detailed design drawings. John Leslie himself is a very creative and capable landscape designer who in our experience exercises excellent judgement. He had a very good knowledge of plants and plant usage, paver design and overall hardscape/softscape rations and transitions.

JSL is a pleasure to work with and John goes out of his way to understand the wishes and tastes of his clients. He also steers people away from ideas he knows they will not like, once he understand a clients goals.  After working with him we are at a point of confidence where we have often told John to use his own judgement when certain specific questions have risen that we did not have specific answers for.

It went extremely well. Project was delivered on schedule and budget. Once the project began it continued smoothly and finished on time. We appreciated this as it reduced disruption and met our timing needs to have the project done before guests arrived. John's crews are always polite, efficient, and clean up after themselves.

We have had JSL do other projects for us and he always offers alternatives that can meet project goals at different price points. I personally appreciate that he listens to us and understands our vision and then gives us alternatives to achieve it.
The final projects from JSL have always been beautiful and functional and we are happy to recommend this firm.

It was a pleasure to work with John and his crew.  John communicated very well, and kept us informed on the progress of the project.  He also made very frequent trips to the job-site to monitor the implementation of the design.  We look forward to having JLS Landscaping re-landscape our front yard in the near future, and would highly recommend them to anyone.

I can't imagine a better outcome

What stands out is his professionalism and his responsiveness.

The landscaper provide a free estimate and landscape/hardscape design after consulting with us on our desires. The plan included a water feature and other items that we wanted. We picked belgard pavers, and a stone water feature. A considerable time elapsed between the initial consultation and the start of work, as we are out of town over the holidays. John and his team were prompt in following their schedule and completed the work in a couple of days over the initial estimate. We are very pleased with the quality of the work and thought the work was timely performed. We made some mods to reduce the cost, but in general thought the pricing was very fair and below our other estimates. We found John leslie was both easy to work with and knowledgeable. The plants will be installed next month, but all other work has been completed.
We received a nice plan for the layout and received a number of local addresses to view the various kinds of pavers and help us select the type. We moved slowly selecting the contractor while we decided exactly what we waned. John has tried to make the landscape plan meet my expectations and desires though we aren't too familiar with the native plants and rely on his knowledge.
