"I had a terrible experience with PHD, LLC plumbing service. I called them when I had an on-demand water heater that was not working. They could not figure out the problem! After 3 visits and $ 950 of charges we discovered it was merely a propane gas supply line was undersized, which I tried to suggest to them initially! Likely a $ 250 fix at most! I cannot recommend this business. They are unqualified to do the job. They are unprofessional, incompetent, and arrogantly rude!!!"

Problems with your plumbing system can be scary, stressful, expensive and even dangerous, but most plumbing problems can be avoided with the right team on your side. Our technicians are required to complete many months and even years of rigorous training before they're allowed to "solo" on repair or installation work. And as a licensed plumbing contractor, we insist that our technicians attend regular technical education and training programs. They are also trained in communication skills, sales, finance, management and marketing. They are drug-free, neat in appearance, mindful of their speech and respectful of your property. In short, they are truly an elite group of whom we are very proud. When you call us to your home to fix a problem, we'll arrive ready for any plumbing situation. Our trucks are stocked with more than $10,000 in parts and our highly experienced plumbing staff has completed years of diagnostic and repair training. Our diagnostic fee is a flat fee regardless of how long it takes to identify your problem. Your entire plumbing system will be thoroughly checked. When our technician has located the problem, he will explain what it is, what options are available to you and how your particular situation can be repaired using our Straightforward Pricing Guide. Our technician will give you a Straightforward price before any work begins so you know exactly what it will cost and what will be done. Additional Email - [email protected].

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

A bathtub diverter is used when you have a shower-tub combination. The diverter valve allows you to send the water to either your tub faucet or your showerhead. Diverter shower valves cost between $20 and $200. Higher-end brands, such as Moen, might cost more—some models are over $250.

The best place for a kitchen sink drain is the middle of the sink. Most people prefer center drains because they allow for better water and waste drainage, and the center location limits splashing because water flows straight down the drain hole. If the sink drain is too close to the edge of the sink, water can collect and drain too slowly. It can also be easier to clean sinks when the drain is closer to the center since debris is easier to wash down and doesn’t collect along the sides as easily.

Water softeners are worth the money if you live in an area with hard water. Hard water is safe to drink, but it poses serious threats to your plumbing system. The minerals in hard water will gradually build up on the inside walls of your pipes, reducing water flow to your fixtures. The minerals can also gradually corrode your plumbing system, reduce its lifespan, and increase the risk of leaks. Hard water also makes soap and detergent less effective. Water softener systems can solve all these issues, making them a great investment.

You can try several easy methods to unclog a drain, one of the easiest and most effective of which is to use a mixture of baking soda and vinegar. This will help dislodge and dissolve the clog to move it down the drain pipes. Pour 1/2 cup baking soda into the drain, followed by 1/2 cup of white vinegar. Dump several cups of boiling water (or hot water if you have PVC pipes) into the drain and let sit for up to one hour. Run hot water to clear the drain.

Bleach is generally not recommended for your shower drains. Although diluted bleach can technically help clean your drain, it will not unclog your pipes. In fact, bleach can harm your plumbing system because it’s so powerful. The bleach can change the color of your sink and even corrode metal pipes and fittings.

Often, people reach for bleach because it's already in their house. But it's worth getting a plunger or a drain snake for the job instead. It'll be a lot less money to buy a new plunger than to pay a plumber to repair or replace damaged pipes.
