"Friendly, hardworking family! They responded to our text immediately and scheduled us for yard waste removal the very next day. We live in a somewhat remote area, and we've had difficulty getting service from other companies. Not only have they come twice, but they did not charge us extra for our remote location. We definitely plan to continue using their service. They are dependable, and price worthy. We've already recommended them our neighbors."

"Chase and Vanessa came on time. They did a great job removing every single thing I needed removed. They were a pleasure to meet. They filled the dump truck to the brim!! I didn't lift a finger. I recommend them highly. I'm disabled r.n. and have stayed in touch with them. That's how impressed I was with the work they did!!"

"Even as a first time mover, I knew of the bad reputation moving companies have. All my friends always told me what thieves they all are. But when I hired Moving APT to handle my move, they blew me away. This moving company maintains timing, employs excellent movers and has a customer service that is just awesome. I had a ball seeing the movers at work when they were moving her belongings. Everything went like clockwork with these guys! Even the delivery went without any drama. I will be sticking to them forever."

Garbage Removal questions, answered by experts

No, you do not need a garbage disposal to have a dishwasher. A dishwasher will work without one, and while it's rare to see a home with a dishwasher that doesn't have a disposal, it is possible. The two appliances pair well and are often installed together because a disposal simplifies meal cleanup.

However, your dishwasher should not be used as a replacement for a garbage disposal. Subjecting it to continuous food leftovers can lead to major clogs. If you choose not to install a garbage disposal, you should thoroughly rinse your plates or scrape excess food into the trash or a compost pile before loading them into the dishwasher to prevent plumbing issues.

Most garbage disposals have a reset button that can be triggered with a tool as simple and accessible as your index finger. That said, if you need to perform a more in-depth troubleshooting step, like manually moving the arms inside the unit or rotating the impeller plate, a hex wrench is the most common tool you’ll need. Most garbage disposals come with a hex wrench.

Continuous feed garbage disposals are the favorite model for many homeowners for a reason. As opposed to batch feed models, add food scraps to the drain whenever the disposal is running. This variety is also typically less expensive, more convenient, and easier to clean.

To prevent drain clogs, perform regular maintenance and cleaning. Avoid disposing of substances like grease or coffee grounds down the sink. Additionally, installing and routinely using drain strainers can help catch debris and prevent blockages from forming.

The most common garbage disposal size in the U.S. is 1/2 horsepower. This size is ideal for households with three or fewer people or those that don't produce much food waste. Although 1/2 horsepower can't handle the typical food waste load for a household of four (which is about 250 pounds of food waste annually) as effectively as 3/4 horsepower, it remains the most common size of garbage disposal on the market.
