"Followed up quickly, called and made a site visit to determine what we needed and activated the sprinkler-drip lines, checked the timer box. I had a quote in a day and they scheduled our service a few days later. Removed a dead tree, shaved level a tree stump and pruned the other trees and shrubs. Check all the drip lines and set the timer. Good communicator, very reasonable price for four hours of steady labor. We will continue with Ayala's services..."

"Luis completed our sprinkler system job in an excellent mannor. There were issues with the system, but he stuck with it and when he was done it was working correctly. We would hire him again for other projects."

"Yavapai Landscaping took care of us and our yard the way family would. Albert explained what was happening, how he could remedy the issue with our sprinkling system, showed us how to deal with it in the future and put us totally at ease. Such a relief—and he was prompt and efficient, too! What more can one ask for? Is Albert available for adoption? Yavapai Landscaping—and Albert—are keepers."

"Our experience with Desert Springs Water Feature was excellent. Even though we decided not to move forward with the project at this time, they were very responsive to my initial inquiry, providing quotes for the project and following up on my questions. If we decide to move forward, we will defiantly use Desert Springs Water Feature company. Tom P."

"Devonâ s ability to design and landscape our huge yard was well beyond our expectations! His expertise and knowledge created an oasis and place that far exceeds what we thought it would be. We extended our patio with pavers, added artificial turf, added mounds , a river bed, and rock to tie it all together. The plant/tree selection complimented everything. Devon is very easy to work with and constantly checked on the progress daily. His workers were also amazing! I would strongly recommend him and his price was competitive with the big companies."

Fountains questions, answered by experts

Yes, your fish should stay alive in a frozen pond if you winterize it properly. By ensuring your pond has enough oxygen, good water quality, and a hole to release harmful gases, your pond and fish have the best chance of staying alive and healthy. However, if you have tropical fish, they should be overwintered indoors.

After you fill in your pool, you can add trees and plants that help stabilize the soil. You might decide not to fill it in at all and find another use for the sunken area instead. A few ideas include creating a seating area or garden inside the empty pool. Depending on its size, you could create a place to roller-skate or install basketball hoops for an unconventional court.

Small ponds can be drained and filled in about a day. Larger ponds will take two or three days for professional removal.

One reason you may want to fill in your pond is the cost of maintenance. Pond cleaning may cost about $1,000 for an annual cleanup, or monthly visits may cost $75 to $100 per visit. If you don’t want to spend that much per year on pond upkeep, you may consider filling in your pond.

Because frogs require fresh water for survival, they can die from repeated exposure to swimming pool chemicals. Chlorine dehydrates frogs, which can lead to their deaths. To ensure frogs don’t hang out in your pool for long periods, safely remove them once you spot them in your pool and install a frog log so they can easily hop out on their own.
