We had a ton of water coming in under our house when it rained. We researched foundation people etc. and American Standard Foundation stood out among all the others. I sent an email to them for a look see and get an estimate. I received an email back the next day and then a phone call to set up an appointment. Mike Herring came out...crawled under the house, measured, assessed the water problems, figured and refigured. He sat down at out kitchen table and went over each and every problem and showed us exactly what could be done to remedy the water problem. He said I'll send you and estimate and you decide if and when you are ready..." I will not bug you". The estimate was very concise. He itemized each and every part that we would need. We gave the go ahead. He had a crew show up. They dug up the landscape and placed it on plastic. They laid plastic out and removed the creek gravel to it. The crew hand dug the entire length of the house... kept everything as neat as possible. Placed rock in the ditch and laid the drain. Put in several pop up drains at ground level so that they would not interfere with mowing. Sealed an area around the pool and rerouted the pool drain water out into the yard away from the house. The day they left you could hardly tell that the work at been done. Everything was neatly put back into place. That night our area received a lot of rain...the next morning Mike was here by 9:30 to check to see if any water had come under the house. He could have just waited to see if he got a call, but instead personally came out to check for himself. And, by the way...NO water. Hard job WELL DONE. I would highly recommend American Standard Foundation and Mike Herring. His crew is great!!!! I don't believe there is a foundation problem or water problem that he cannot fix

Estimate was done promptly and thoroughly with good description and explanation. Some photos were shown of previous jobs done. Once a contract was signed to have work done we did have about a month's wait before our job could be worked into the contractor's schedule. Communication was via texting with estimator and was prompt throughout wait period. Job was started almost two weeks earlier than our original wait estimate which was 6 weeks. Workers were friendly and professional and open to my questions and concerns. I had a one day delay in job due to heavy rain, other wise the entire job was completed in the 3 day estimate. This was very messy work complicated by the rain day which yielded about 1 3/4" rainfall. The workers did as well as they could to try to contain the mess (piles of muddy dirt) and all of their work equipment and supplies. At the conclusion of each work day they put yellow caution tape all around work areas and bright orange plastic cones. It was not lost on me that when a worker needed to use our restroom (which I offered) they removed their shoes and entered my home two at a time and basically stood guard/supervised themselves (two straight in and two straight out). This should be reassuring to anyone concerned with stranger safety in their home. I took photos of all the work in progress during the three day job and asked many questions. I had also done quite a bit of internet searching regarding work practices of the installation I was having done. The work that was done met every single expectation I had and then some. The French drain tube was enclosed with a dense mesh sleeve to prevent dirt/rocks getting into it and it was also wrapped with thick fibrous landscaping "paper". A very thick rubber sheeting was nailed into my foundation wall just below grade and run against the foundation wall well below and out from the French Drain. Also, the foundation wall was prepped with a very heavy coat of roofing tar beneath the rubber sheeting. All of my down spouts were run at least 10'-15' away from the house and ended with pop-up deflector spouts. The two rear down spouts were dug and redirected a good 30'-40' from the back area of my home to each far side of the property also ending in pop-ups. It was so clear to me that every effort was being made to redirect all possible water run off issues completely away from my home! After seeing what they did, I have every confidence that the water intrusion issue I had into my garage will not happen again! They communicated very clearly exactly what and why they were doing as well as showed me concerns they found and how they would be managed. I really feel the work done was top notch. Thank you to Alex, Zach, Brandon, Tyler and Jason! This kind of work is messy and you need to have realistic expectations that despite efforts to contain the dirt mess (a tarp was put down onto which they piled all dug out dirt), there will be a mess when they are done. The workers did fix my patio bricks which they collapsed (had to tunnel dig beneath them) and made attempts to do some overfilling to account for soil settling (they let me know I could call them back if I had too much settling and needed more dirt fill). They also hauled away concrete which they had to jack hammer away from my foundation footers below grade. Where my French drain was put was where all my home's utilities happened to be located (cable, phone, gas, AC hook up, and electric)! No damage was done to any of these by all their careful hand digging! I recommend this company emphatically

Do NOT USE!!! Received my weekly service invoice (which is auto drafted), but full services were NOT performed. I emailed the owner to let them know that my yard was NOT mowed. For some reason, they weed-eated and left without mowing. They came back to mow after the email. When they came back, they weed-eated around my pool which they have never done before because I ALWAYS spray RoundUp around my pool so that they do NOT have to get near it with a weed-eater. Ripped through the edging and ripped my pool. Knocked planters over, as well. When I emailed the owner to complain, they NEVER replied to the email NOR did they come back. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVIC

Juan does a great job on my yard, no matter the service. He suggested I cut down a tree in my front yard as it would fall soon. I couldn’t see any evidence of that but, when Juan cut it down, the trunk was hollow. So glad I listened to him!

He is also insured for tree service (I would never hire anyone for tree service who didn’t have insurance) - he did a great job removing a large maple tree for us that was halfway taken down in a storm

"Kevin and his crew got to work right away and completely transformed my backyard into a beautiful space. He put in several large river rock beds to deal with the runoff, which were attractive by themselves and also added trees and flowering shrubs to another bed in front of a previously long boring fence. He redirected storm water runoff into the rock beds including those from downspouts. He sodded the rest with zoysia grass. A beautiful patio using tumbled pavers was created below our stairs leading up to our deck, and a bed was created at the end of the patio to really set it off. The end result transformed a muddy mess into a lovely natural looking garden and lawn. Kevin and his crew worked hard and had it all done in a week. They were pleasant and respectful of our home and our dogs. Kevin listened to my concerns and preferences. My husband and I are delighted with our new backyard. I highly recommend this business.
