"I cannot say enough good things about this company. They did an exceptional job. They were nice, worked hard, cleaned everything up. I had the whole inside of my house painted and they had to move a lot of heavy furniture out from the walls and then put it back. I will definitely use them again and highly recommend them."

Wall Repair questions, answered by experts

The longevity of flood walls depends on how they were constructed, but most wood, gravel, and cement flood walls last 10 years. While aluminum flood walls may cost far more initially, they can be a good investment as they can last decades and will not be damaged by exposure to the elements.

DIY is possible for small projects. Professional installation ensures structural integrity and durability for larger walls.

Generally speaking, a retaining wall should be between 3 and 4 feet high, depending on variables such as the wall-building material, the purpose of the retaining wall, and more. If you want your retaining wall to be taller than 4 feet, check with your local building ordinance office for the maximum allotment. You may also need a special permit for retaining walls over 4 feet tall.

Costs depend on material type, labor rates, and additional features like decorative finishes or reinforcement.

Failure to compact the soil during construction is the most common cause of leaning retaining walls. In addition, poor drainage can lead to excessive water pressure behind a retaining wall, pushing against it until it begins to move forward away from the soil it is holding back.
