By the mid 70’s he and his two son’s were completing large commercial projects all over the state of Arkansas. Ethan was so passionate about his work that he did not retire until 81 years of age, and was on the site every day untill then, helping out wherever it was needed the most. We have done several roofing projects down through the years and just recently have added a devision dedicated directly to roofing. The best paint to prevent mold on bathroom walls is one with a glossy sheen. If you choose a satin or semi-gloss finish for a humid room such as a bathroom, its hard surface will deflect moisture rather than absorb it the way a matte or eggshell paint might. Glossy paint has the bonus of being easy to clean, which is a useful feature in a bathroom.

To prep a floor for painting, start by sweeping and cleaning any loose debris that could puncture the protective material. Take out as much furniture as possible. Then lay plastic, canvas, rosin paper, or masonite sheets across the room, securing them at the edges with masking tape. Plan your painting so that you minimize the chances you’ll step in and track any splatters.

Bubbles can appear during painting for several reasons, but poor adhesion or trapped moisture are the most common. Painting over dirty, wet, or improperly prepared surfaces leads to air or moisture getting stuck under the paint layer. Using the wrong tools, applying paint too thickly, or working in extreme temperatures and humidity can also cause bubbling. In some cases, incompatible layers of old and new paint types, like latex over oil-based, create tension, leading to blisters and bubbles.

There is no one correct order for painting a room, as it largely depends on personal preference and skill level. However, for non-professional painters, we recommend the following order: ceiling, walls, doors, windows, trim. This is because painting trim, windows, and doors can be more time-consuming and meticulous, and it's best to save them for last when you’ve already gained some confidence from painting the larger surfaces.

In many cases, you can use a roller to paint detached cabinet doors and cabinet sides more quickly. However, expect at least some brush or spray gun work to complete the project, especially if your cabinets have complex insets, which are difficult to paint with a roller.
